ALT SEND Funding Event A communication and training session on SEND funding changes for mainstream education providers, parents, and carers in West Northamptonshire. In September 2022, West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) set up a SEND Funding Steering Group. It was made up of representatives from the parent carer forum group, SENCos, and staff from schools, colleges, units, and early years settings. Sub-groups were set up to carry out more detailed reviews for early years settings, mainstream schools, and post-16 settings. The team focused on creating a funding framework that would allow WNC to allocate funds to schools, colleges, units, and early years settings in a more consistent and transparent way. The framework includes changes to funding administration, funding criteria, and funding levels for children and young people aged 0 to 25 with and without EHC Plans. Many of the changes will be rolled out soon. So WNC will be hosting a SEND Funding Update Event on: Tuesday 12th March
