The thing about Deltarune having "too many mysteries" is that it's actually like 2 mysteries in total in disguise. Half of the stuff in this game goes back to the same bigger question that once answered covers everything else

The problem with Tim is that he doesn’t realize that Valve is only doing this because their customers asked them to. Doing what your customers want you to do is how you build a successful business consumers love so you don’t have to lay off 1000 people. It’s not political, dweeb

There is a real economic cost to Valve’s foray into forced political disclosures. Besides taking 30%, they’re also taking a potentially even larger fraction of developers’ revenue and livelihood by undermining their business with these AI hate campaigns.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Steam requires disclosure of generative AI for player-consumed content via its standard Content Survey (alongside ratings), shown on store pages for transparency, not as political statements. Steam's base 30% revenue share matches major console platforms.

yo @TimSweenyy you should organise an AI game dev boycott where all AI game developers refuse to publish on steam and only publish on Epic
Tim Sweeney is criticizing Valve again over Steam’s requirement for developers to disclose their use of generative AI.
The Epic Games CEO called the policy “abhorrent,” arguing that developers are being forced to make a “political statement” that could be used against them by a “hate mob.”
Sweeney has been criticizing the policy since 2025, previously comparing the disclosure to a “Scarlet Letter” and arguing that AI will eventually be part of almost every game production process.

Deltarune fans are finally starting to achieve sentience and are realizing Dess is just Sephiroth
I think this summarises the fandom perfectly. No understanding of narrative. Needlessly shitting on chapter 5. Focusing on unimportant wing dingle shit. No option to be positive. 10/10.

Media literacy: the curtains are blue likely to set the mood of sadness in the scene
whatever deltarune fans got going on: The curtains are blue which is a checkovs gun that will be important to the overarching story

I think the Knight is very obviously Dess on purpose. I think the real mystery of the Knight is how they work, what their purpose is, and how are they *actually* Dess (literally her, or some part of her)? I feel like the identity of the Knight drives us from the questions-
