Reminder: The root cause for our dysfunctional government is granting everyone working in it with qualified, absolute, and/or common law immunity.

It's subtle, but with a trained eye, you can detect a slight difference between the way that The New York Times Editorial Board is treating the accusations against Ilhan Nur Said Elmi (aka Ilhan Omar) and the way they treated the accusations against Donald Trump.

The original @BernieSanders post said that AIPAC caused the war in Iran.
Now when he's accused of scapegoating, lying and stoking Antisemitism, he claims that AIPAC only "supports" the war.
It's a game that every sleazy politician plays, and in the end, that's all Bernie is.

Hi, lawyer here. Lots of people who frankly should know better are taking this out of context.
Yes, this teen carefully planned and carried a mass shooting that killed and wounded several people at a food festival. Yes, the judge let the mass shooter walk free. Here’s why: 🧵

New York, November 26, 1980. John Lennon and Yoko Ono in kimonos at the Sperone Westwater gallery in SoHo, on the day they filmed a video for Double Fantasy. The album had come out nine days earlier, after five years in which John had stepped away from music to raise Sean. They filmed in Central Park first, and the gallery had been set up to look like their bedroom at the Dakota. Allan Tannenbaum of the SoHo Weekly News spent the whole day with them. Twelve days later, John was killed outside the Dakota. Double Fantasy went on to win the Grammy for Album of the Year. Photo by Allan Tannenbaum.

Thank God an armed citizen heroically violated a law you helped pass, on his way to killing a gunman who readily ignored all the other laws you promised would stop him.
Police have shared that three children, ages 5, 8 and 11, and one teacher were fatally shot at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon. A 7-year-old was also injured.
America's gun violence crisis is killing our babies. Enough is enough.

Police confirm a community member pursued the 16-year-old shooter into the school and fatally shot him before officers arrived, ending the attack. The district banned CHL carry on grounds via SB554, which Giffords supported.

Anthropic says it has reduced the data harvested from Claude in distillation attacks by around 90–99%. I congratulate them on this achievement.
It’s consistent with the point I made a few months ago (All-In Ep. 282): Anthropic, not the government, was in the best position to stop distillation of its own models. Once the horse is out of the barn, there’s limited value in after-the-fact government action.
At the time there was a major push in Washington to restrict open models on IP grounds. The threat looked serious enough that 50 companies — including Nvidia, Microsoft, Meta, IBM, Palantir, and Dell — published an open letter in defense of open-weight models. Jensen Huang promoted it in his first-ever X post. Nearly 200 startups sent a similar letter.
I argued that restricting open models risked removing the incentive for closed-model companies to solve the problem themselves — and could reward negligence by stifling competition while they continued collecting revenue from distillation. The administration did not impose those restrictions.
Now we see the result. Anthropic invested in defenses and they worked. Not every technical challenge is a reason to run to Washington for new regulation.

Holy shit
A Berkeley chemical engineer who suffered years of unexplained illness discovered through a spy camera from Amazon that her coworker, David Xu, was poisoning her food and water with cadmium, a toxic heavy metal for nearly 18 months between 2017 and 2019. The victim experienced significant health problems and at times required emergency care at a hospital. Newly released video shows Xu appearing to put a substance in her water bottle in 2019.
Xu was arrested that year and charged with attempted murder and two counts of poisoning, offenses that could have sent him to prison for life. But under a plea deal, the attempted murder charge and one poisoning count were dropped. Xu pleaded no contest to one felony poisoning charge and received two years of probation, with credit for one day served. He completed probation in March and is now seeking to have his felony conviction dismissed.
Holding my breath until the mainstream media fact check Obama’s claim.

🚨 Agree or disagree? We should abolish property taxes NATIONWIDE.
DeSantis: "You buy a home, you buy land... and then, you've been taxed many times [on that]... is it your property, or NOT? Just for being on your property, you've got to write a check to the government every year?"

.@KyleClark deception.
If Kyle did 100 negative commentaries about Republicans and one against Polis, but the Polis was the longest, would that mean he wasn't biased?
If Kyle called 100 Reps and 1 Dem incompetent, but only asked the Dem to resign, would that mean he was fair?

@DawsAngeles game show idea for the @AdamCarollaShow:
1950’s stereotype about the South, Europe 2026, or Ivy League 2026
Come up with quiz questions about commies, antisemitism, racism, inbreeds, poor (national GDP), lacking basic services (AC), trying to secede, etc. it could go on forever!
When once Europe and the Ivy-League respectively were the envy of the world, they are now a laughing-stock cadre of morons, incompetents, commie scum, and inbreds. They're like an extreme version of every bad stereotype the South here in the US used to have, but they took over.
