In an immediate reaction to the terrorist threat at RAF Fairford today, @andyburnham has already promised to drop bus fares from £2 to £1.90 and offer an extra scoop of baked beans in school free breakfasts from tomorrow morning…..

Hey up @andyburnham can you confirm if the government are getting 90p for every litre of diesel sold? No tictok or YouTube video needed just a simple YES or NO so we know who is ripping us off. Cheers pal.

🚨WATCH: TV star Danny Dyer on Prime Minister Andy Burnham at a protest demanding public ownership of the water industry: "I don’t know who the Prime Minister is, mate. Do you? Did anyone vote for him? Because I didn’t vote for him. I think we’ve had successive Prime Ministers who are cunts. Put that on the fucking BBC" xitter.cf/michaelkeohan/status/2…

Here's an observation I've been sitting with: There are no flashbacks in George Lucas's six Star Wars films. Not one. Why? Because of Illud Tempus... Latin for "now and forever." It's the mythological concept behind every "once upon a time" in human history. When Lucas 1/9

Fuck that. I'm out.
Just saw The Odyssey. Sadly, the woke casting is far from my biggest issue with the movie. The film opens with Travis Scott, the rapper, as a bard. Within the first minute, we also see Elliot Page as a Greek warrior. There's also an oriental and Indian warrior, too. And more black people. So in the opening, there are more genders and races on screen than minutes in the movie. Oh well. At least this makes The Odyssey more relatable right? More accessible to the audience? No, actually. The film spends next to no time fleshing out the characters as people. Penelope is frustrated with the suitors and wants Odysseus to come home. Telemachus wants his father to come home. Odysseus is dealing with whatever challenge is before him. Basically every conversation the characters have revolve around those points and nothing else. There are so many plot points to cover in the film's runtime, there is little to no effort put into developing any sense of personality or authenticity for the characters. Everyone is less relatable than Homer made them 3000 years ago, in which case, what the hell was the point of adapting the work for "modern audiences" anyway? Also, some terrible acting from John Leguizamo and whoever the lady is that plays Circe. Ellen/Elliot Page is generally a good actress, but in this it's painfully obvious she's not just acting as Sinon, she's acting as a man who's acting as Sinon. Unconvincing. Much more to say, full review on tomorrow's stream. 2pm ET.

Spaceballs 2 trolling Disney hard with that opening line 😆🤣
The plot for ‘SPACEBALLS 2’ has been revealed: “Somehow, Dark Helmet has returned! 40 years after the events of the first Spaceballs, 50 years after the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, and 1 year after the events of The Devil Wears Prada 2, the galaxy is once again under threat. A threat so evil, so unstoppable, so completely lacking in any original ideas, that it has vowed to bring back the past… every last bit of it. With Lone Starr in hiding, Queen Vespa on the throne, and the Schwartz stretched thinner than a franchise releasing TV episodes theatrically, the only hope for the galaxy is Vespa’s undisciplined son, Prince Starburst, and a mysterious Palace advisor named Destiny. Together, they must find Lone Starr, Yogurt, and any other iconic legacy characters fans are demanding before they discover the hard way that, while some threats you can fight, the reboot is not one of them.”

According to you, which is the worst casting choice in Nolan's The Odyssey? 🤔 • Zendaya as Athena • Lupita Nyong'o as Helen of Troy • Elliot Page as Sinon

Fuck you Playstation. I'll never pay to "rent" a digital game which you can change or take away at any time. Movies, music, books, games. OWN YOUR PHYSICAL MEDIA.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Phasing out physical PlayStation media raises anti-consumer concerns, chiefly the loss of game ownership. Moving entirely digital means users buy revocable licenses rather than permanent assets, allowing Sony to pull access at will while eliminating resale and preservation. medium.com/super-jump/gam…

This man is to DC what Kathleen Kennedy was to Star Wars.
#Supergirl stands to lose $100 million after opening to just $68 million worldwide. The DC Studios tentpole cost $170 million to produce and roughly $120 million to market. A source close to “Supergirl” says the movie would need to gross $300 million to break even at the box office. Some project the film's losses will be closer to $80 million if ticket sales can manage to hit $200 million. “This was always going to be a tough hurdle for DC and Warner Bros. because Supergirl isn’t a character that has ever created an event-level blockbuster,” says analyst Jeff Bock of Exhibitor Relations. “Audience perception of ‘Supergirl’ was not good. This is just a case of the film wasn’t good enough to become an event.” variety.com/2026/film/box-of…
