Repugnant. History will not be kind. The USA has elected this man who no longer seems to have a grasp of anything coherent or factual.
Trump: "Russia, frankly, has been fine on Ukraine. They haven't been doing much."

Ten years ago today. In just the last few days: Trump made a deal for the U.S. to buy Russian diesel, an economic lifeline for Putin; he and Elon Musk blamed each other for an order that slowed down Starlink satellite connectivity over Ukraine, hampering the country's defenses during a devastating Russian attack; and Trump waived sanctions on Russia that Congress, led by his late friend Lindsey Graham, had pushed for. Now, Putin has proposed a summit with Trump and Xi to decide Ukraine’s fate for them, bulldoze a century of international cooperation, and frame Russia as an equal to the U.S. and China. We’ll see if Putin’s puppet continues to dance on his strings.

Newcastle United have not started the season well and the boos that rang out after their home defeat by Aston Villa were an amalgamation of frustration and concern that has been building for weeks. For Matthias Jaissle, the problems are mounting and the frailties and weaknesses are becoming more apparent with every game. @LukeEdwardsTele identifies the issues and analyses what needs to change if Newcastle are going to get back on track ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

Matthias Jaissle’s side are too easy to score against and too easy to stop scoring. Vertical football needs adjusting so is a formation change needed? #NUFC telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

That was pretty dreadful. I can’t see what the style of play is supposed to be. The first half was as bad as anything we have seen at St James’s Park for years. Have any of the new signings impressed yet? We knew this was going to be a hard season but they’ve got to show more than that #nufc

Newcastle have won two, drawn two and lost two in the league. That’s about right for a team that is struggling to adapt to a new style of football under a new manager who has never experienced the Premier League before while also trying to acclimatise a load of young players from abroad. I warned back in August this would be a tough season. The optimism and positivity from those at the top was probably misplaced but there also has to be patience and understanding. They’ve not helped themselves but it’s not been a disastrous start despite two disastrous away results #nufc

Newcastle dreadful for a second successive away game and receive another thrashing. Raises some uncomfortable questions for everyone because this was ugly against an average Coventry team who were gifted two goals and didn’t do much to score another two #nufc

Interesting half for Matias Fernandez-Pardo. The dummy at the near post when he could have swept Murphy’s cutback goal wards was baffling. Then, in on goal, he probably has to score although Bobby Thomas did brilliantly to get back and block his shot after he’d gone round the keeper #nufc
