Great to visit Plymouth Community Homes’ Bath Street site today to see progress on 80 brand-new social rented homes!🏗️🏡
This scheme is transforming a key brownfield site between the city centre and Millbay into a sustainable neighbourhood for Plymouth families.
There is a very serious situation unfolding on The Hoe and I know that people will be feeling concerned. I have spoken to the Police Commander and would encourage anyone with any information to come forward.

More jets. More capability. More combat power! ⚡
The F-35B Lightning jets are now embarking.
Great to visit Unity Park Bowls Green recently with Cllr Pauline Murphy!🎳
Plymouth’s connection to bowls goes back centuries to Sir Francis Drake, and it’s brilliant to see the sport still bringing the community together in Efford today.
Thank you for the warm welcome!
In fairness to Nigel, they do both start with 'P' and have boats. But if you’re going to pop down to Britain's Ocean City to tell us how to run the country, standard protocol is to check the name of the city first... 📍
(Volume up for the classic Plymouth welcome! 🔊)

I’ve been working with @LukePollard since March to secure two Defence Technical Colleges for Scotland.
Now we know we’ve been successful in that goal.
The commitment the Scottish Government has now given - to accept our offer and match fund the colleges - is welcome news.
Two Defence Technical Excellence Colleges are coming to Scotland after the Scottish Government today confirmed it will match fund the UK Government's £10 million commitment made seven months ago.

It was great to meet with my German counterpart Jens Plötner in London today.
Germany is one of our closest and most valued defence partners, and today’s talks demonstrate our determination to turn that industrial ambition into real capability for both our nations.

The low rainfall means we all need to take extra steps to cut water use, but the truth is South West Water should have been doing more to cut leakage and invest in our water system; and should have been for years.

Good to speak at the inaugural @MakeUK_ defence event in Parliament tonight.
Defence is an engine for growth and as we spend more of a rising defence budget with British-based firms we can use defence to reindustrialise our nation. 🇬🇧

Today we welcome ice patrol ship HMS Protector back to her home port of Devonport.
She has delivered operations in some of the most extreme regions across the globe.
As part of the Defence Investment Plan she will be replaced with a modern ice patrol ship.🚢
Once again, Reform are trying to distract from their sleaze and scandal with another disgraceful (and illegal) announcement.
Allegedly breaking election law, not declaring a £5 million ‘gift’, getting £72 million from two crypto billionaires. It’s clear who’s side Reform are on
I remain disgusted with South West Water at how they've been treating us in Plymouth. It's no wonder what's happened in Plymouth Sound is getting national attention.
🗣️ 'We don't know how bad the sea pollution is.'
MP for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport @LukePollard tells @SophyRidgeSky he is "disgusted" with South West Water's behaviour, saying the company has been polluting the sea without telling anyone.
This morning I’m the Government Minister on the morning media round talking about defence, Europe and growth in our economy. Catch me across nearly every channel on TV and many radio stations too

Russia has intensified its strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure over the weekend. This is an attack on Ukrainian civilians, plunging them into cold and darkness. The UK strongly supports President Trump's call today for a sustained energy ceasefire to start now. I discussed this with @zelenskyyUa yesterday: Ukraine is ready if Russia stops its attacks. This is the best route to get energy and fuel back into world markets.
When we said we would stand with Ukraine for as long as it takes, we meant it. And here’s another example of that in action 🇬🇧🇺🇦
🇺🇦🤝🇬🇧 British defense companies now have a permanent platform in Kyiv.
Kyiv Business Centre opened with UK Government support under the 100-Year Partnership, focused on industry, innovation, and investment.
Deputy Minister of Defence Anna Gvozdiar: “A place where British companies can find Ukrainian partners more quickly, understand the real needs of the defense industry and launch new projects together with us.”
