The Future of Collateral Management: Research from the Frontier of DLT-based Lending
This will be the main topic of today's keynote by the Frankencoin Association's Director of Collateral Management @PaoloDiStef, who will be representing Frankencoin at the Collateral Management Forum, hosted by @Fleming_Finance at the Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands.
A high-level introduction to decentralized finance, followed by a closer look at how collateral management works in blockchain-based lending protocols, and how these systems operate without traditional intermediaries.
In addition, Paolo will present a comparison of how different blockchain-based lending protocols manage collateral risk, pricing, and liquidations.

EU regulators keep making the same mistake: they assume that they know better than everyone else.
This is exactly why Europe’s 10% FSD speed-offset limit is a mistake.
Here the car thinks the limit is 60 km/h, but it’s actually 80. With a 10% cap, FSD would be stuck at 66 km/h, forcing me to override or disengage and drive manually.
So what happens? People get frustrated, override it, disengage FSD and drive manually instead.
And this isn’t rare. Wrong speed-limit data exists all over Europe. More forced disengagements, more manual driving, more unnecessary overrides.
How exactly is that safer?😕
If I’m supervising at all times and I’m still legally responsible, let me choose the maximum speed myself. Don’t cripple the already proven safe system because the map data is wrong.

Is it just me, or is there a pattern about what kind of personalities supports the participation treaty with the European Union?
Strong, independent, entrepreneurial personalities tend to oppose it (in the quoted post that's @hjbertschi and Heinz Tännler). At the same time, the conformist and managerial/administrative personality types tend to like the treaty.

If you make it easy for people to start and run businesses and don't get in their way too much, everyone gets wealthier
If you make it hard for people to start and run businesses and get in their way constantly, everyone gets poorer
You can see the effect clearly within the EU:
Countries with low regulatory burden like Switzerland and Ireland have much higher incomes than places like Spain or Hungary where its regulatory burden is high

5年前にスイス🇨🇭へ移住したタイミングから今日まででスイスフランは円に対して約60％上昇。日本人としては複雑だけど、スイスフランの強さを身をもって感じる。
しかもこの引用元を見て驚いたんだけど、日本円だけじゃなく、米ドルもこの50年でスイスフランに対してこんなにも下落してるんだね。スイスフラン強いなぁ。
