I've been looking into @vangrid_io, and what I find interesting is how it's turning everyday activities into something that can create real-world value.
A recent example comes from Raleigh, where 14 pedestrian crossings were completed through a single bounty and settled on @base.
The task involved documenting each crossing twice, once in daylight and once under streetlights. Contributors captured details like curb ramps, tactile paving, road markings, pedestrian buttons, and the surrounding 10 feet.
What caught my attention is the simplicity of the approach.
People can use ordinary smartphones to collect detailed real-world data that could eventually support accessibility mapping, urban infrastructure analysis, and even robotics.
It's a different kind of blockchain activity. Instead of focusing purely on engagement or transactions, the network coordinates people to gather information that has practical value outside crypto.
For me, that's what makes this milestone worth noticing.
14 crossings might seem like a small number, but it's a tangible example of how decentralized contributions can connect digital incentives with real-world needs.

An update on the Fungo Genesis auction:
We are issuing a total of $84,150 in refunds.
Today, we did not reach the level of participation we were aiming for, and rather than reduce the supply, we have decided not to complete the auction.
This is not an easy message to write. For months, we have put everything into building the infrastructure needed to make encrypted NFTs possible on Ethereum. But the level of participation we saw today was not enough for us to move forward with the sale as planned.
Throughout development, the Zama team provided technical support and helped us build the best system we could deliver today. This does not mean Zama stands behind or endorses our project. FungoLabs is an independent project building in the Zama ecosystem, and all decisions are our own.
The numbers we shared throughout this journey were real. More than 3,000 projects applied to our launchpad, over 12,000 people joined our X campaign, and we received more than 30,000 whitelist applications. We will share a separate breakdown of these numbers soon.
We also want to be transparent about one thing: projects like this cannot run on excitement alone. Infrastructure, servers, onchain activity, and the work of the team all come with real costs. Without enough support, carrying that load is simply not sustainable.
Any payments made by whitelist minters, along with the full amount of every bid, will be refunded. Refunds will be sent directly from the project treasury to your wallets. You do not need to take any action.
Thank you to everyone who gave us their time, believed in what we were building, and supported us throughout this journey. We are sorry we could not meet your expectations.

FungoLabs has outlined three major stages:
โ Genesis: 3,232 encrypted NFTs.
โ Launchpad: Other collections will be able to launch encrypted NFTs on Ethereum, giving holders control over their private information.
โ The Game: A game designed around the Genesis NFTs and their traits.
This is important because the bigger opportunity is not limited to one NFT collection.
It's about making encrypted NFT infrastructure available for other applications and creators.
7/7 โ The real test is adoption
The technology is interesting, but technology alone doesn't guarantee success.
For FungoLabs, the important questions going forward are:
โ Will creators actually use the Launchpad?
โ Can encrypted NFTs create better gaming experiences?

These are the milestones I'll be watching.
I see FungoLabs as an interesting experiment in bringing privacy, programmable ownership, and encrypted computation together on Ethereum.
The next evolution of NFTs may not be about revealing more information. It may be about giving owners more control over what stays hidden.
