People always ask me, "Why do you describe yourself as an option whore? Always buying gamma?!?" Because, I can quantify the risk, I'll lose small for 15-24 months, and then that ONE month happens and I own the firm. I know I'm in the minority. As a derivative risk manager, I see an option seller to buyer ratio of 200:1 Strange that 4 of the 7 largest traders, that all pre-date my time here, are premium buyer, strange right?
