And in the recent minor party leaders debate Quilae Wong from Opportunity Party gave Ireland as an example of another country NZ should emulate - yeah… nah
Getting my step count up by delivering a few flyers in the glorious HB sun, dropped one off here in the spirit of inclusivity and diversity. @RCR_NZ
I worked as a cashier at a service station when I was in high school in the late 80’s - back then we had two full time forecourt attendants filling your cars & the most common sale was $20 cash, which got you a pretty decent fill. Now that wouldn’t fill your lawnmower. I’m needing a cup of tea & a lie down after filling my car up today!
Whoever got into that monster suit in an extremely hot day here today in Hawke’s Bay to troll Chippy at his stand up at the A&P Show has my respect 🫡
A girl goes on holiday and other than a couple of bank statements the letterbox produced this - anyone would think it was election season 😂

OVERHANGS. STRATEGIC VOTING. TWO VOTES. ONE LOLLY SCRAMBLE. 🍬
VoteSmart2026.co.nz
Heard strategic voting mentioned approximately 4,000 times lately but still not entirely sure how it works?
Wondering what an overhang is, why Parliament can suddenly sprout extra MPs, or how using your two votes differently could change the final numbers?
Excellent. We bought lollies.
In just a few minutes, we explain the whole thing using jellybeans, M&Ms, gummy teeth, Froot Loops, blackballs, gummy bears and a suspiciously important collection of chocolate bullets.
No political science degree required.
Just two votes, some very peculiar maths, and 120 seats that don't necessarily stay 120.
Watch The Lolly Scramble, then head to VoteSmart2026.co.nz to learn more about how your two votes work.
And share this with someone who still thinks an overhang is something requiring Spanx. 😜

This week Michaelia Cash tried again to fix the Sex Discrimination Act. Senator Penny Wong (@SenatorWong) called it a stunt. No, Senator. A stunt is a man claiming to be a woman and the government, the judiciary and the bureaucracy going along with him.

It’s getting to a stage where the only guarantees in life are death, taxes & a situation like this appearing in the news at least once a week.
It was an absolute joy to talk to @andrewdoyle_com today whilst he’s in NZ - check out our conversation here rcr.media/episodes/andrew-do…

Men who claim to be women in Australia cannot claim to be oppressed, marginalized or discriminated against. In fact, they hold all the power.
The group that is being discriminated against is women who want woman only spaces, services, sport & lesbianism. We are being discriminated against on the basis of sex.
The judiciary of Australia hasn’t resolved the conflict in law, they have made it blindingly obvious.
50% of the population have been left without legal protections on the basis of sex - the exact thing the sex discrimination act was enacted to uphold.
I attended the Family First 20th anniversary and NZ Forum on the Family over the weekend. An outstanding event which bought together a collection of ideas, discussion, concern for those who look at world through a more conservative lens. The theme of courage rung strongly with me but it also struck me how its our intersection on common ground that seems to have been hijacked by those whose world view is framed by an ideological and identity lens. Thank you @bobmccoskrienz for all your hard work and conviction.

“They are not vulnerable. They are not marginalised. And men who claim to be women are not women. Every claim transgender activists make, the opposite is true.”

Big turnout for BirdFlu Vaccine Protest in Canberra.😜
Well done to whoever put this together, but when there are approximately one billion individual wild birds in Australia across roughly 800 to 900 species - anyone who thinks they are saving the birds by injecting them is totally cooked.

I see and feel deep sadness and even horror of the news of death of Jason Arday. His memory should be honored by serious reflection on the system that created his impossible position: having to occupy a uniform/disguise created for him by white elites who used him as a political prop for the own propitiatory political indulgence. DEI is disgusting, degrading, inhumane, and institutionally condescending ideology that is rooted in lies. It kills, mostly psychologically but sometimes physically. This horrible turn of events should end it.
The only proof I need at why this is a bad idea. 2020 election, Jacinda Ardern. Gave it another suck of the sav, that’s a yeah, nah from me.

How on earth are our kids supposed to navigate the mixed messages we send them? RSE education & special interest groups that peddle & normalise kink in schools, which leads to kids struggling to discern what’s ick.
Where do they go? The net, to porn & not the 1970’s kind.
Asking parents to have these conversations is patronising especially when groups in schools often tell students that parents don’t always understand them, their identities and their needs. Schools need to teach kids how to identify the ick and the importance of consent, get rid of third parties who want nothing more than to groom our kids & leave the rest to parents.

To any of our young ladies who feel the creep of men in sport in NZ, men in your personal spaces, men taking away your rights - look to these young women in Seattle for inspiration, outstanding. And a message to their parents 👊💥 great job!
Last night, @seattlestorm co-owner Celeste Keaton cursed out two teen girls for wearing @xx_xyathletics shirts, calling them "f*cking insane." One of them was left in tears. I tried to get security involved and was told I should email the front office.
