Brand loyalty programs are walled gardens with limited utility and high operational costs. Coalition programs helped but still create closed ecosystems. Tokenization enables points to flow freely between merchants while maintaining brand value - turning loyalty into true digital currency.
2021 i got into solana and the question was "oh solana....okay then,"
2022: "why are you on solana?"
2023: "you're on solana, have you considered {insert random chain here}?"
2024: "oh great, you're on solana"

Lotta fud on the tl right now. I just wanna share my 2 cents here.
We don't care about the fud. We're building what we're building for the long term.
We wanna work with teams that're pursuing ambitious goals and are aligned.
Teams that wanna leverage city tokens to
- build shit,
- buy property, acquire real estate,
- fund local projects and
- genuinely wanna help the crypto community in their cities.
We'll continue with everything as planned, (barring a small delay due to one of our devs having apple developer account issues) onboard more creators and get ready to launch on time.
I think the crypto community is genuinely looking for things to rally around right now. Real missions. And we have an opportunity to present that to them.
Happy to hear any feedback, and thanks for your patience.
If anyone wants to launch a token for their city, keep this in mind:
- It will be community owned
- Liquidity will be locked
- Not you, not us, not any one individual will be able ot impact its fate and rug.
- Funds will only be available to spend on mandates and the community will decide.
- YOU MUST USE THE FUNDS TO BUILD/FUND/ACQUIRE

When we did an alpha launch of $SFO / $NYC ;
I got texts from some community members along the lines of
"why isn't price going up?"
"wen moon"
"we don't care about utility, you need to market the token"
To which my response has always been:
"we're building the next steps, you need to be patient, it takes some time to build things"
if all you ask for is moon. then moon is all you get. gone by dawn.
if you want to participate, buy and participate. don't hand around in a discord saying
"ca?"
"wen moon?"
"can you do some cooperation?"
and other bullshit.
i feel no sympathy for these traders after libra. this is what you perpetuated and wanted.
no one rugged you. you perpetuated a culture where rugging was easy af cause all you do is look at a chart and ape.
the solution is not regulation or gensler or any other crap.
the solution is to find things you believe in, understand what they're building, join them if you can help, participate if you join and of course you can still have all the trading fun still.
