😂 So Arsenal flew their players to Blackpool for their Carabao Cup clash with Fleetwood Town, only to board two coaches that had drove all the way from London to take them the final SIX MILES to the stadium. Meanwhile, the rest of us are drinking through paper straws to save the planet. 🌍😭

Thanks to LTNs roads like this saw a massive increase in congestion. The local hospital to here and surrounding LTNs has 40% more children attending the hospital with breathing difficulties than anywhere else in London . The hospital has a large number of LTNs in 3 boroughs surrounding it. How much longer can they lie for … increasing congestion upon families harming them in the name of cycling 🚴🏻 @JourneysPlaces @BetterSt4Enf @London_Cycling @PGCommunity

My local supermarket store has installed entry & exit anti-shoplifting security gates.  It’s so frustrating I was just grabbing a loaf of bread and some milk. So I went through the self-serve checkout.    I scanned my items and paid for them, and the exit gate wouldn’t open. I was trapped inside the store 🤣 I had to wait for a shop assistant to come over, I showed her my receipt to verify that I had paid for the items, and she opened the gate.

Considering Burnley's financial situation - Everton asked for stay of execution pending results of appeal, or escrow. That very reasonable request was refused. If the appeal was to succeed and Burnley were to default, Everton would be repaid on the drip over a period of time.
City AM reporting that Burnley's parent company has been hit with a compulsory strike-off notice from Companies House, relating to its financial accounts that are almost two years overdue. I've approached both Burnley and ALK/Velocity for comment. #twitterclarets

Thoughts....? I'm sad that this has happened to such an important piece of history. The 3rd Infantry Division liberated it in May 1945. The same unit that landed in North Africa in November 1942, which fought the longest and hardest among US units to liberate Europe.

A rabbi's response to our President calling Jews "lacking knowledge and disloyal" if they vote Democratic: Rabbi Danny Maseng writes: As a Jew Since you called me out as a Jew, Mr. President, since you thought to call me disloyal or lacking knowledge by not voting for you, I’d like to respond to you personally, even though I have no illusions you will read this. As a Jew, Mr. President, I am commanded to love the stranger who dwells among us no less than thirty-six times in the Bible you claim to treasure. I am commanded to have one law for the stranger and the citizen. No exceptions. As a Jew, Mr. President, I am commanded to pay my employees on time, including undocumented workers at casinos, construction sites, or golf courses. As a Jew, I am commanded to repay bank loans and investors. As a Jew, I am commanded to never bear false witness. As a Jew, Mr. President, I am commanded to guard my tongue and speak no evil. As a Jew, Mr. President, I am commanded to never embarrass my fellow human being in public, lest I be accused of spilling their blood – including Ted Cruz or the late Senator and war hero, John McCain. As a Jew, Mr. President, I take great offense in my president attacking Denmark, a country that gallantly saved its Jews from the Nazis, while most of Europe fell asleep. As a Jew, Mr. President, I take umbrage in my Grandfather, the sainted Dr. Rabbi Harry S. Davidowitz, who inhaled poison gas in the trenches of WWI as a US Army chaplain, being called disloyal because he voted Democrat. As a Jew, born and raised in Israel, I take offense at you calling me disloyal to America AND to Israel because I oppose your inept, ghoulish, uncouth, deceitful, inhumane farce of leadership. How many tours of duty have you performed for Israel during wartime? Or, for that sake, the USA? As a Jew, Mr. President, I reserve the right to oppose Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib (neither of whom called upon the help of a former KGB operative to help them in their election to office), while simultaneously condemning your divisive, racist rants and policies. As a Jew who has proud Republican family members who I love and cherish, I am ashamed of what you have done to the Republican party; to conservative ideals – even if I do not share all of those ideals. As a Jew whose Christian uncle fought heroically at the Battle of the Bulge for our country and for the salvation of Europe – I am ashamed by the mockery you visit upon his sacrifice. As the son of a Christian pilot, later converted to Judaism, who led American pilots to glorious victory over Nazi Germany, I am outraged by your embrace of neo-Nazi’s and racists in America (that same pilot, who became a squadron commander in the Israeli Air Force, and fought for Israel’s independence). As a Jew, I am disgraced by your fawning adoration of the worst dictators of our century – you violate Christian and Jewish values by doing so. As a Jew; as a well-informed Jew who loves and cares deeply for Israel and for America, I condemn you and call you out for the divisive fool, the ogre, the ghoul that you are. May my soul not enter your council, let me not join your assembly.

76 years ago today, on October 25, 1950, the Chinese Communist Party sent its army into Korea during the Korean War to support the North Korean forces and turn South Korea communist. On June 25, 1950, North Korea invaded the South, starting the Korean War. South Korea nearly fell completely to communism, with only a small region remaining free. But on September 15, 1950, General Douglas MacArthur’s Incheon Landing turned the tide. We stood on the verge of liberating the entire peninsula. Korea could have been reunified. Instead, hundreds of thousands of Chinese troops poured across the border to reinforce the North Korean army. The peninsula has remained divided ever since, and some 26 million people in the North still live under oppression. China is Korea’s thousand-year enemy. The Chinese army massacred Koreans. Because of China, the other half of the Korean people have known no freedom since the North Korean regime was established in 1948. For 78 years they have suffered under one of the world’s worst human-rights regimes. China also exploits North Koreans through human trafficking and organ harvesting. And now it seeks to turn the South communist as well and bring the entire peninsula under its control. 🇰🇷 On this day, October 25, 2026, I want to express my deep gratitude to everyone who stood with South Korea. As a Korean, I will NEVER forget those who fought alongside us. ⚔️ 16 nations that sent combat troops: 🇺🇸 United States: 1,789,000 served, 36,574 killed 🇬🇧 United Kingdom: 81,084 served, 1,106 killed 🇨🇦 Canada: 26,791 served, 516 killed 🇹🇷 Türkiye: 21,212 served, 900 killed 🇦🇺 Australia: 17,164 served, 340 killed 🇬🇷 Greece: 10,255 served, 194 killed 🇵🇭 Philippines: 7,420 served, 112 killed 🇹🇭 Thailand: 6,326 served, 136 killed 🇳🇱 Netherlands: 5,322 served, 125 killed 🇨🇴 Colombia: 5,100 served, 213 killed 🇳🇿 New Zealand: 3,794 served, 45 killed 🇪🇹 Ethiopia: 3,518 served, 122 killed 🇧🇪 Belgium: 3,498 served, 106 killed 🇫🇷 France: 3,421 served, 269 killed 🇿🇦 South Africa: 826 served, 37 killed 🇱🇺 Luxembourg: 100 served, 2 killed 🇮🇱 I am also deeply grateful to the more than 150,000 Jewish soldiers who fought for Korea in the American, British, Canadian, Australian, and other allied forces. About 1,500 of them gave their lives. 🏥 6 nations that sent medical support: 🇸🇪 Sweden: 1,124 medical personnel 🇩🇰 Denmark: 630 medical personnel 🇮🇳 India: 627 medical personnel, 3 died in service 🇳🇴 Norway: 623 medical personnel, 3 died in service 🇩🇪 Germany: 437 medical personnel 🇮🇹 Italy: 128 medical personnel Nearly two million people from around the world came to defend a country many of them had never heard of. More than 40,000 never returned home. To every nation that stood with us, to every veteran, and to every family who lost a loved one: thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Yesterday, on October 24, Kim Jong-un traveled to China to mark the 76th anniversary of China’s entry into the Korean War. He visited the “Resist America, Aid Korea” War Memorial in Dandong and laid a wreath. The ribbon read, “The martyrs of the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army will be remembered forever.” North Korean state media reported that he called the relationship between North Korea and China a “friendship sealed in blood.” That same Chinese Communist army killed countless young men from around the world, massacred Korean civilians, blocked our reunification, and continues to help keep millions of North Koreans under oppression. Even today, the Chinese Communist Party celebrates the day its army entered Korea—the army that massacred Koreans and killed young soldiers and medical personnel from many nations—as the anniversary of the “War to Resist America and Aid Korea.” On the 70th anniversary in 2020, Xi Jinping described it as a war that “defended peace and resisted aggression” and a “victory of justice.” I say it again: China is Korea’s thousand-year enemy. Yesterday, Kim Jong-un also met with Wang Huning of China, a key figure behind global election interference. The Korean War has never ended. It continues to this day. The same threat we faced 76 years ago remains in 2026, as South Korea once again faces pressure from the Chinese Communist Party. We will NEVER become communist. We will never let your sacrifice be in vain. South Korea will NEVER bow to communism or the CCP. We will defend liberal democracy, reunify the peninsula under South Korea’s leadership, and free the other half of our people who have suffered for 78 years. South Korea will stand as a leading force in protecting liberal democracy around the world and ending the legacy of communism. And we Koreans will never forget the debt we owe to all of you. One day, we will repay it.
