A fabulous morning at The Carrie in Kells. During the week it won (a well deserved) best restaurant award in the Ballymena Business Excellence awards.

Sending love & support to my old school colleague @pistol147. His courage in sharing his experiences are helping to break the stigma around men’s mental health. I’m glad to read he’s getting support. I hope he realises the impact he’s made in his snooker career.
A statement on yesterday….. Everything I said in that interview was true. However, rest assured I’m doing my best to turn things round. I have been in a mental health clinic for the last 10 weeks, finally discharging so I could attempt to play in Belfast I owed that to my family, in particular my daughter to see me play for what could be the last time….. I also owed it to the fans who have supported me throughout my 21 years on tour I also owed that to World Snooker who have been amazing from day on in all this, in particular Simon Brownell and Neil Tomkins who have remained in touch regularly, even Simon paying me a visit in the clinic itself I’m not ok, but I’m ok in that itself. I’ve been much worse in the last few months than you saw yesterday. I literally didn’t see a future in anything….. My daughter kept me going, the therapists, staff and all the other patients were amazing and helped me through some really dark days I see the light now that I couldn’t see before but I do now. I also know it won’t happen overnight. I’m a work in progress!!! My fight and determination on the table has always been there for ones to see. I need to show those same fighting qualities off it now for a while Please don’t detract anything from Jordan yesterday, he’s been aware of my struggles and that can’t have been easy to play in but he handled it with grace and skill as I knew he would. Im proud to call him a friend I hope the rest of the event is a success and I will continue my treatments going forward and then see what’s ahead Thank you to every single message I have received on here, instagram, Facebook, text messages and WhatsApp’s, I’ve seen them all but a bit overwhelmed to reply right now. Just know that they have helped me a lot but I’m not going anywhere just yet!!!! I have so much to live for and this is only the beginning of my new journey Also, I was not made to do any interviews, I was simply given a choice and felt I owed it to everyone to speak. The media team at WST have been incredible through all this too Thank you all x

A concerning finding by the @jrf_uk alongside the overall finding of high rates of child poverty in Northern Ireland. These findings show why the @CommunitiesNI disability strategy & anti poverty strategy should be vitally important. Sadly both are currently lacking in substance

It’s disappointing to see someone with a public platform promoting such harmful rhetoric. Reaching out for help, asking for support & speaking to someone about your struggles are not weakness. They are signs of strength & self-awareness. I speak to a psychologist every week.

It’s a sad day for @arsenal Mr Friar has been a driving force for the growth and traditions of our great club. I’m sure the club will have a fantastic tribute to him later. North London Forever needs sung with extra gusto tonight.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Life President Ken Friar OBE. Since our formation in 1886, there have been many inspirational individuals who have driven our club forward, but no one has had an influence on Arsenal Football Club quite like ‘Mr Friar’ and he leaves an extraordinary life of service to the club as his legacy. One that will surely never be matched. Rest in peace ❤️

I don’t think it’s just a coincidence that both North Antrim DUP & UUP MLA’s have tweeted this over the past few days but without giving context to the actual divisions. It’s quite clearly an attempt to use fear for votes in the North Antrim area.
Out of the 12 divisions at Stormont this autumn Alliance sided with Sinn Fein 11 times & DUP 1. This is pretty consistent throughout the term. Their manifesto may give an impression of one thing but their voting record speaks the truth of what they stand for. Voters should know.

Delivering for “everyone” except the people that the whole strategy should be based around. Ambitious isn’t the word I would use to describe the strategy. I’d use the word inadequate or substandard.
Minister @GordonLyons1’s ambitious ten-year Disability Strategy will break down barriers for the deaf and disabled community. ✅ Delivering for everyone across Northern Ireland. #DFC #Delivering #DeafCommunity #DisabledCommunity #DisabilityStrategy

When I was in school I couldn’t wear my jumper, blazer or fleece. It restricts my movement in such a widespread way. I had a blow heater put in my bathroom. What are students like me meant to do who are colder but not able to layer up?
Replying to @BBCNewsNI
Both EA and DE are completely out of touch with reality... we are part of the G7 and our school staff and pupils are being told to wear more clothes as we can't afford heat or light!Astounding!! Reality check needed @DrIanCollen @C_Fitz_ @RhonddaBryant

An afternoon in Ballymena Health centre. As someone who lives with medical trauma & who is currently undergoing therapy, it was disappointing to learn that someone dealing with similar within the trust area won’t have access to mental health services due to lack of funding.

Ted Lasso has been on at the perfect time of the year. It’s supplied that little bit of hope amongst the doom & gloom of our news cycle. Todays series finale was a nice completion of the circle episode.

Having lost a friend as a result of this scandal, I will always stand in solidarity with them & continue to remember Erin. Her memory strengthens my resolve to support these women & their families as they seek the truth & accountability they have been denied for far too long.
💔🗣NEW: Three years since cervical screening scandal emerged - ‘Those letters changed everything. We feel we are being fobbed off.’ 👥Women and families impacted by Northern Ireland’s cervical screening scandal have returned to Stormont, marking three years since thousands received letters telling them their smear test results were being reviewed. Around 17,500 women screened by the Southern Trust between 2008 and 2021 were affected. Eight women went on to develop cervical cancer following misread tests, with three later dying. It is feared there could be more. The Ladies with Letters group continues to demand a statutory public inquiry, despite former Health Minister Mike Nesbitt ruling one out earlier this year. Chief Reporter @jamesgould23 spoke to Heather Thompson and Tracey Bell from the Ladies with Letters campaign. Also speaking was Enda McGarrity, Director at @paduffylaw. Health Minister @RobbieButlerMLA will meet the group in November. Standing alongside them today were Deputy First Minister @little_pengelly and representatives from @sinnfeinireland, @duponline, @SDLPlive, @TUVonline, @uuponline and independent MLAs. More on-air and online.
