Columbus, Ohio.
The best city in the country.
America’s most livable cities, at local median salary and local tax rate.
New York: this is probably the reason why Mamdani won

The chart's "most livable cities" rankings and quality-of-life data rely on Numbeo, a crowdsourced site where anyone can submit or alter entries; it carries explicit disclaimers on accuracy and has been widely criticized by experts and media as unreliable.

You've probably heard of the Navy's MKULTRA precursor program Project CHATTER. But did you know they had another study where they attempted to make an individual "subservient" to an "imposed will?"
I found the documents 🤯

This guy is getting dragged for this comment. But he has a point. Something I tell my @universityofga students all the time. When I started touring clubs, putting records in stores and visiting radio stations I wasn't competing with bands from the last 40 years. But my students playing americana-ish stuff are literally competing with me for slots on festivals like @andbeyondfest. Look I'm not complaining. But it's a real phenomenon. Has something to do with the fact Gen X is willing to spend money going out to shows, so their tastes get catered to. Also 40 years ago, records went out of print, radio only had so many slots for airplay, and record stores only had so much rack space. "Infinite shelves" means you're competing with hits from the past, and past hits are lower risk than new stuff.

As I’ve said before, there’s likely never been a president more detached from the core American culture of liberty, individualism, and self-determination than Trump.

When you think about great rock saxophone players, who comes to mind? 🎷
This question was suggested to me by @BillWetzel2783

Sometimes having momentum is more important than having skill. The game rewards those who show up every day.

If I have any advice to offer, it’s this: you can put years and years of your life towards trying to understand the ways of the world. But you’ll never really know, and people will never really listen, and it’ll never really change anything.
All you can change is yourself.

Ohio, we love coming home and playing shows for you. Thank you for always showing up and bringing the party every single time.
Me to my kids today: “Pretty much anyone who is really good at anything is a psycho about it and puts in way more work than others. Natural talent helps, but being a relentless psycho about your passion is the proven path to success.” #dadtalk
Pretty weird how we never get back rights we give away. People are so painfully uninterested in discovering the nature of the world they live in that this will likely never change. I regret that I have this view, but it seems to be a symptom of being awake.
Yesterday, on September 10th, President Trump once again extended the 9/11 state of emergency that started under George Bush on September 14, 2001.

At 10 AM, US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld held a press conference and announced that the Pentagon has “lost track of” $2.3 trillion, which is “unaccounted for.”
He goes on to highlight a number of other glaring inefficiencies in the Department of Defense.
Crossing one off on my 90s rap cover band bucket list today. Playing a postgame tailgate at the closest bar to Ohio Stadium. Come out to the lot behind Varsity Club after the game and say hello.
I was a camp counselor with Peter (who by the way was an excellent basketball player) at Camp Lokanda about 25 years ago. Great guy. It’s been cool to see his success. He deserves it. Looking forward to his show.
