I assume Sukuna would've won here & Gojo suspected as much, which is why he really asked for the extension. Gojo was originally never planning to actually fight Sukuna. He always planned to keep the final finger & let Yuji live a full life. Whether Megumi or Yuji, Gojo needed time to figure out a way to try to actually defeat Sukuna, while trying to preserve the host. I think Gojo constructed his basketball Domain during that prep time after finding out about Sukuna's Open Domain from the gang. Knowing UV + banking on Sukuna's desire to survive with RCT was his win con. On the flip side this Sukuna had the full kit of 20f Sukuna. If we assume Sukuna's fingers only give him raw CE then we can comfortably say he did beat Gojo within his 16f tank. Considering just how much later into the raid the narrator confirms that Sukuna's CE dipped to Yuta's level.. A spontaneous fight without prepared backup plans/fighters could've made him more inclined to revert earlier etc. #JujutsuKaisen #JJK
