Today is the last day to register to attend *in-person* this fantastic talk by Keiko Nishimura on robot-human relations in BL and GL manga. (No preregistration is needed to join us on Zoom.)
Now that it’s website official, I’m pleased to announce that I was recently elected Secretary of the Society for Disability Studies. I look forward to using my position to bolster scholarship, advocacy, and the rights of disabled persons across the world! disstudies.org/index.php/202…
I am so glad that we have folks like @skyfarm1229 representing us in the Diet. Truly, this was a historic exchange, which I hope will lead to the creation of a new forum in which the voices of disabled persons and other affected parties will be heard.

A bit late to the party, but pleased to share that my panel, "Pandemic Possibilities: Empowerment, Exclusion, and Social Justice in Japan and South Korea," has been accepted to #AAS2023. Looking forward to working with @johngrisafi, @gentansh, @AlexHambleton, and @StevensCaro.

Having been there before myself, I know just how uncomfortable this can be, physically and emotionally. All of my solidarity and support, Alice.
Recovery update: laid in my poop in bed for 2 hours because my paid caregiver forgot to come (no emergency/illness) 💩
This is the reality for me & many other disabled & older people because we live in a society w/o a care culture & infrastructure 😤
