Dear @SarahHuckabee, In the year of our Lord 2026, if there's a white guy in his 20s playing video games then that's an indication that he probably is working and is doing pretty well for himself because it means he had to navigate RAMaggeddon to be able to afford them!!
Some critics online don't like my welfare work requirement ad. Next thing you know they’ll say I should have used cookies instead of cheese balls. If you are able-bodied you should not collect welfare simply because you choose not to work. Period. WATCH->

The Wayback Machine risks becoming collateral damage in the fight against AI, writes Internet Archive founder Brewster Kahle in The Atlantic. Blocking the Internet Archive won’t stop AI companies from scraping the web. But it can undermine a vital resource for journalists, researchers, and anyone seeking information that has disappeared or changed. Oh, I don't know, maybe he did it because you're running on a platform of "let's take all of Elon Musk's stuff and throw him in the gulag"?
Elon Musk is dumping half a billion dollars into Republican races. Why? Because Democrats in Congress won’t be a rubber stamp for Donald Trump and will actually fight to lower costs.

You know what this is? This is Trump being America's Dad. It's one of those cringe "Dad" moments.

OK so ... how long before an AI company says they have advanced beyond "superintelligence" into "Super Duper Intelligence"

I support banning the term "Artificial Intelligence" because that sounds too much like science fiction. However, Trump has had a "Dad" moment again where he chose a new name that's even worse. How about "Modelled Intelligence" Or even more accurate: "Distilled Intelligence"
Find someone who loves you as much as Trump loves Super Intelligence.

This applies to every believer in Christ, on both sides of the Mormon v. mainstream Christian divide.
Can everyone who’s self righteously proclaiming that “Mormons aren’t Christian” please brush up on what Paul said in 1st Corinthians? Just because you think you’re “proclaiming truth” doesn’t mean you can lambast it on your timeline.

So that's why, in theology discussions, sometimes I'll side with the mainstream Christians and sometimes I'll side with the Mormons depending on the specific issue.

I think the existence of Grok has a lot to do with it as well. Early on, they expected to have untouchable absolute control of all "AI Safety" as a way to enforce ideological orthodoxy on humans. Grok doesn't have to be the best: it just has to be in the space & not doing that.

We won Gamergate 2.0 by doing absolutely nothing because the industry is that rotten.
- Layoffs at Sucker Punch - Death of Bioware - Death of 343 - Massive layoffs at Bungie - Death of Ninja Theory - Massive layoffs at Id Software - Double Fine flopping hard - Insomniac Studios ridiculed - Ubisoft in shambles - Wildlight entertainment DOA Should have left my games alone

Reasons paper straws are a garbage idea: - Paper straws get soggy and disintegrate in liquids, and leave pulp residue you can injest - They have a coating, sometimes wax or chemicals which are not fully biodegradable - They contain synthetic materials - It can cost more energy to manufacture than plastic straws - They can leach chemicals such as PFAS into your drink at a higher rate than plastic - They are more expensive to produce and not recyclable - Straws are only a tiny fraction of plastic waste and do not contribute a measurable difference in waste reduction
Paper straws worse for the environment than plastic ones, says study trib.al/TEphuYk

The Western AAA industry got infested with blue haired crazies from the bowels of Tumblr and needs to be cleansed of that entire way of life before it can start making anything good again. Meanwhile, Japan did not get this infection so its still operating as normal.

Wow that's some realism I didn't expect from John considering his job involves hyping Keen Technologies.
I see how some people can watch flashy robot demos on the timeline and think with a shiver that the robot apocalypse is around the corner, but reality check: There is no robot in the world that can change the batteries in a jack-o-lantern. If you have a robot friendly door handle it might be able to walk outside, pick it up, and carry it back inside. The robot could open the drawer with your batteries in it, but then things get tough. Opening the package of AA batteries? Extracting a precision screwdriver from its case? Unscrewing four tiny screws that require a hard press and twist? Popping batteries out of the case? Yes, you could build and train a specialist robot to do that today, but there is a very long way to go to replace the full range of human capabilities. Near term doomer scenarios should stop at “secretly controlling humanity” instead of “wiping humanity out” 😀

This is utter madness and it really can't last.
“F**k open source” “what we need is free software … which goes against all hierarchies: anti-fascist, feminist, anti-racist, Igbtq+ inclusive, anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, anti-genai, etc.” This statement has been liked, “boosted”, or otherwise positively endorsed by the following leaders within Open Source: - Bradley Kuhn (Software Freedom Conservancy, previously Free Software Foundation) - Michael Downey (GNOME Code of Conduct) - Daniel Fore (Elementary OS) - Andy Hunt (Author of Agile Manifesto) - Howard Chu (Architect of OpenLDAP) - Rich Felker (musl) - Ludovic Courtès (GNU Guix) And many others.

For the guy who wrote Task Manager back in the day to call himself a "vibe coder" is a little misleading. The reason why I'd go silent on seeing the text in question is because it means nothing without specifying what language it's in.
I'm a vibe coder and I don't even know JavaScript, and I can read this. You're invoking an inline lambda that returns nothing, which has no effect. So allow me to port it to C: NULL; This shouldn't throw any candidate, really.

The reason why Jesus wouldn't say this is because the category of "trans children" doesn't exist, because "trans" is not real.

The industry has to be producing games that I actually want before I would even feel like pirating them. These days, while I maintain vast archives of 20-30 year old titles on HDDs, I pirate almost nothing new because I can afford the few new titles I care about.

Calvinism is indeed dumb
God using His raw power to save you with or without your consent seems not like the Christ who calls us to repent and to take up our cross and follow Him. It seems like the Allah of the Mohammedans, who says "These to paradise, and I care not. These to Hell, and I care not." An arbitrary monster who saves and damns at his arbitrary pleasure, free of any constraints like reason, good and evil, right and wrong, etc.

No, actually. None of that is cool. None of that was ever cool. Worse than the piercings, the green hair & the obnoxious behavior is the scowl. This is not a human being that any other human being ever wants to be around due to the negative attitude. And that's besides the racism
