This is nice!
Unfortunately, with older patients at the hospital, we are often too stretched to really connect with them on a personal level. But when we do, there's a great deal we can learn from their wisdom and experience.

Feedback is the communication of evaluative or corrective information about an action or event to the original source of that action or event. In medicine, it's typically a med student or junior doctor, receiving corrective information from a senior registrar or consultant.
Feedback can make or break you. Knowing how to GIVE + RECEIVE feedback is not a given, there's an art and science to it! A surgical registrar helps you brush up on your feedback skills so it actually helps you and your colleagues learn and grow medicguild.com/articles/how-… #MedTwitter

Just reflecting that a year ago our hospitals were full of people from migrant/lower SES communities, who worked essential jobs, had worse vaccine access, got very sick, and some died.
And I wonder - where are they now? Do they have long covid? Did they get support to recover?

#Disability & #vulnerable rights are not the excessive demands of an ‘entitled’ community. They set a minimum benchmark of equity and dignity in accessing care and support that ALL of us, at some point, will rely on. Our rights today will be yours tomorrow. That’s why we matter

I could have been at any time - its omission was the deliberate decision of those in charge, just as placing it there today was a deliberate choice.
