When posh people in london tell poor people in the south Wales valley's that your child is only worth £50. And only if you were close to the deceased child.
National Coal Board negligence was responsible for the deaths of 144 people including 116 children in Aberfan. An unbearable, avoidable disaster. A devastated & grieving community repeatedly betrayed. NCB were never prosecuted #Aberfan60 #NeverForgetNeverForgive #NoJusticeNoPeace

Stunning front cover of The Bluebird programme for Saturday's match with Birmingham City 💙 The edition is "dedicated to a generation lost – and the courage and determination of the Aberfan survivors and their families." A big well done to the club for this 👏

My dear Stephen, How lovely to see you marking the sixtieth. One of the darkest days in our history, etched in the memory of the nation, a community of such strength. All true. And all of it happening to somebody else. Here is the part your tribute left in the drawer. The tribunal found the Coal Board wholly to blame and said the disaster "could and should have been prevented". The Coal Board then demanded £250,000 from the disaster fund to clear the tip that killed them. The fund, raised by public donation for the families, handed over £150,000. Your party's government applied the pressure, in secret. George Thomas objected, then folded, and leaned on the trustees until they folded too. The Charity Commission sat on its hands. Nobody was prosecuted. It took thirty years to give it back. In July 1997 Ron Davies, your party's first Welsh Secretary of that spell, returned the £150,000 without interest and without inflation, and conceded the demand should never have been made. So yes. Remembering is lovely. Your lot billed the bereaved for clearing the mine's own tip. Twenty three likes. Five retweets. And looking more like your father every year. Do carry on, pet.
Today marks 60 years since the Aberfan Disaster, one of the darkest days in our history.   The tragedy, which cut short so many lives, remains etched in the memory of our nation. We remember the 144 who died and pay tribute to a community of such strength and resilience.

This is what Christianity actually looks like in practice
NEW: Every week, a Philadelphia nun drives to the immigration court in Harlingen, Texas, to sit beside unaccompanied children, some as young as four, who face a deportation judge with no lawyer and no parent. This week, an undocumented migrant who is facing imminent deportation called Sister Rose Kuhn his “angel.” This comes as Catholics across the nation, inspired by Pope Leo XIV, are standing up to the White House’s immigration policies.

Sleep tight Sir Billy, reunited with his beloved Lady Joan 💔💔
Rugby league legend Sir Billy Boston has died, aged 92. Boston, born in Cardiff, became the first player in rugby league's 130-year history to receive a knighthood last year. The legendary rugby league winger scored an incredible 478 tries in 488 games for Wigan, helping them win three Challenge Cups and the Championship.

I completely agree with this. It's not "celebrating a draw" it's taking a point in a derby game with the final kick in front of their end after 24 years without a league meeting and Wrexham having become something of media darlings in the meantime. You should lose your head.
Replying to @HLTCO
We seem to have boiled a lot of piss with this celebration. Who in the world would sit and clap politely watching a goal like that, to save a point with the last kick of the game? Great to see noise and limbs like that after this summer!

At the checkout, i put the divider down for the woman behind me. She didn't acknowledge me. So I didn't offer her to go infront of me. With her single item, I had 20.
