McDonald’s China is selling a wireless mouse shaped like a box of fries.
It’s limited to 4,000 sets total, split across October 22 and 23. The mouse was developed with Lenovo and uses recycled plastic from collected Happy Meal toys.
In Chinese, the word for mouse and the word for potato share the same pronunciation. That pun is the reason the product exists.

EA shut down BioWare today. Star Wars: The Old Republic players are paying their respects.
The MMO launched under BioWare in 2011. The studio wrote most of its story content before EA transferred maintenance to Broadsword Games in 2023.
A Reddit post sharing BioWare’s farewell statement gained nearly 5,000 upvotes in hours. The top comment read: “SWTOR outlives Bioware. What a strange timeline.”
The game remains online with hundreds of hours of BioWare-written story still available. The studio that created the majority of that content is now gone.
The reaction centers on that split: the work outlived the company that produced it.

An unofficial PC port of Bayonetta 2 is out, built as a static recompilation instead of an emulator.
Developer K0NL’s B2recomp takes the Switch version’s code, translates it to C on your machine from a legal dump, and runs it natively on Windows through Vulkan.
That cuts the usual emulation overhead, which is why early tests are already locking 60 FPS on the prologue with full controller support and an experimental 120 FPS option on top.
It still requires your own version 1.2 dump and is early enough that later chapters remain untested on most hardware.
For a game that never got an official PC release, this is the cleanest path yet to native performance.

CD Projekt Red loremaster Patrick Mills confirmed Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 takes place in 2078.
He said the season happens “not long after” meeting Hanako at Embers in Cyberpunk 2077, adding that “time doesn’t stop in Cyberpunk.”
Arasaka has less influence in the anime than it did during the game, which lines up with a post-2077 setting without declaring any single ending canon.
The confirmation doesn’t close the door on multiple endings, but it does force the timeline forward past the game’s final choices.
The related Edgerunners 2 update for Cyberpunk 2077 drops tomorrow.

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 arrives on October 22, timed with the Edgerunners 2 premiere.
It launches on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with Switch 2 coming later. The free update adds new items and features inspired by the anime, including cyberware customization and a new dual-wielding playstyle.
Full details drop tomorrow at 5 PM CEST on REDstreams, followed by official patch notes the same day.
The update lands two days after the full Edgerunners 2 series hits Netflix, giving players new content tied to the anime’s standalone Night City story.

Actor and voice actor Hiroshi Tsuchida has died at 54.
Tsuchida passed away from heart failure on October 11. A private funeral was held with family only.
He played Saizo / Ninja Blue in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger and voiced Grisha Jaeger in Attack on Titan. He also provided the Japanese voice of Lightning McQueen in the Cars films.
His roles covered tokusatsu, anime, and major Japanese dubbing work across decades.

FuRyu’s ANOMALITH and CRYMELIGHT are both in Steam Next Fest, and their combined Steam wishlists have passed 200,000.
ANOMALITH is now over 120,000 wishlists while CRYMELIGHT has passed 77,700. Both are showing updated demos at the event.
ANOMALITH launches on October 29 and CRYMELIGHT on November 5 across PS5, Switch 2, and Steam.
The titles are using Next Fest as their final pre-release demo window, with the wishlist numbers showing steady interest ahead of the close launch dates.
