The HIFI-2 study, now published in European Urology Oncology, marks a major milestone in focal therapy. As the largest prospective clinical study of salvage HIFU following radiotherapy, it includes 531 patients across 30+ centers, offering real-world evidence. Dr. Guillaume Ploussard, first author of the publication states, "This large prospective multicenter study demonstrates that salvage HIFU can achieve clinically meaningful oncologic control while maintaining an acceptable safety profile in patients with localized recurrence after radiotherapy."
