I'm gonna be honest, I don't think we're going to reach the goal I set for the GoFundMe, and that's okay.
Putting my struggles out there for everyone to see was one of the hardest and most embarrassing things I've ever done. I've spent my entire life working hard and trying to provide for my family, and never imagined I'd be in a position where I had to ask strangers for help.
These past few years have beaten me down in ways I can't even explain. I was just hoping this might finally give my family a chance to catch our breath.
But I want to sincerely thank every single person who donated, shared, reached out, or even just said a prayer for us. You have no idea what that kindness has meant to me, especially on days when I've felt completely defeated.
I may not reach the goal, but I'll never forget the people who cared enough to help.
I'm still going to get my family through this somehow. I always have, and I always will.

Most folks will never truly understand the weight that little piece of cloth has.
And that's okay. Because the weight was never meant for them to carry. It is burdened on the shoulders of those who step up and volunteer their lives to carry - to live lives of service and sacrifice and be part of the fabric of our nation.
