At 12:35 AM, my dog suddenly jumped onto my bed and started growling at the bedroom door. I tried calming him, but he kept staring at the darkness beneath it. Then I heard three slow scratches from the other side. I grabbed my phone and switched on the flashlight, but there was nobody outside. My dog crept closer to me, trembling, and pressed his head against my chest. Just as I began to relax, my phone lit up with a notification from my home security camera: MOTION DETECTED IN THE BEDROOM.

At 10:15 PM, I was driving along a winding mountain highway surrounded by thick forest when I spotted a beautiful woman in a red dress asking for a lift. She opened the passenger door, smiled, and said, “You're not afraid of picking up strangers?” I grinned. “Not when they look like you.” She settled into her seat and rested her hand on my arm. “You might regret saying that,” she whispered. Then she leaned closer, her lips almost touching my ear. “The last man who gave me a lift never made it home.” Before I could reply, headlights appeared behind us. She glanced in the mirror and whispered, “He found me again.”
