Bruins, Sabres off
Separation is starting to develop.
Understand the McKenna benching for the rest of the 2nd.
Would be poor coach decision to have him not play a regular shift at 5v5 in the 3rd.
Kid knows he fkd up.
Give him a chance to build off it.
McKenna earning his PhD in not playing east/west in the NHL
McKenna full possession of puck 5 seconds before Habs Goal 1 and Goal 3.
He is going to be a great player but 1st OA picks playing on team with playoff aspirations get exposed.
How can an assists be awarded on that Habs goal.
If that isn’t an own goal I don’t know what is.
Newhook passes puck through the crease, McCabe tries to play puck with foot but directs it towards net, puck is then kicked into the net by Bobrovsky.
Newhook goal, yes
Assist, no!

You can’t argue against LeBron. He would literally average 75 points a game in the 80s lol no one would be able to guard him.
I feel sad that these children actually believe they are watching the best hockey players ever.
Ignorance is bliss

I feel sorry for kids that don’t get to watch Orr, Wayne and Mario play.
They have no clue.
Sad!

Lemieux was the most talented player, just my opinion. Health aside. Both 99&4 were so far superior from the rest of the players they played against it was sick. I don’t want to take anything away from McDavid, but to diminish the others is insane

97 would skate fuckin circles around 99. You put 97 back then he puts up 400 points a year and I’m not even joking. Wouldn’t even be touched

Guy had the strength that he could score with 2 guys on his back while having the finess of being able to deek out everyone on the ice and shoot it top corner. We will never see another Mario.

He's a better player than Gretzky. His speed is extraordinary.
There are a lot of great players in this era, but the qualitative gap between McDavid and the next best players far exceeds Gretzky vis a vis his contemporaries at that time.
I fell sorry for people that never got to see Orr, Wayne or Mario play.
They actually believe the sht they spew and have no fkng clue.

McDavid complaining about getting tapped on his way through the crease.
What would he be saying if this happened to him?

Doing some research on NHL players to receive multi-year extensions when 34+ years old...and it confirms that the Tampa Bay Lightning had a very logical stance on the AAV for Nikita Kucherov.
For example, when Ovechkin signed his extension with the Caps triggering in 2021, he took up ~12% of the salary cap.
12% of the cap next year is ~13.6 AAV
(First reported offer was 13x4...which reportedly changed to 15x4 after the crazy offseason)
In 2025, Crosby took up ~9% of cap
Stone will take up ~8% of cap next year
Malkin ~7.5% of cap in 2022
Marchand 5.5% of cap last year
The issue remains, and always will be, how JBB went about these discussions (unless he genuinely never wanted to resign Kuch. His actions lead me to believe that could be the case because otherwise...yikes)
Just food for thought. #GoBolts
