Jensen closed his GTC Berlin 2026 keynote with this Hermes Agent demo as the finale.
He introduced it by saying the way to build an agent is to ask an agent to build it for you, so he installed and set up a customized Hermes in one prompt.
Then he used Hermes, running on @nvidia RTX Spark, to create a simulated training environment for the @huggingface Microduck. Hermes planned an obstacle course with Nemotron and had GPT-6 Astra build it using FreeCAD, Omniverse libraries, Blender, Newton, and Isaac Lab. Hermes trained thousands of simulated ducks on that course until the validated policy was ready to run on the real robot in the physical world.
At Nous, we believe open source is a practical tool as much as a philosophical ideal. It gives users the ability to build powerful, complex workflows chaining numerous local+cloud models, devices, and tools themselves instead of waiting for a company to enable them.

We discovered a sophisticated recording device that was hidden inside one of our offices. We used our models to understand the device and where it had come from, identifying that a specific employee had planted it a few days earlier. We referred the matter to the FBI, and we’re grateful to the agents and prosecutors who moved quickly to make an arrest. The FBI’s investigation is ongoing and we will continue to support their work.
At this time, we have no indications of this individual inappropriately accessing or exfiltrating model weights, source code, or customer data. The employee was terminated.
We take protecting our technology, data, and people seriously, and as a matter of national importance. Our security program is designed to protect against a wide range of threat actors, from insider risks to cybercriminals to nation states, and this case is an example of how AI can help address these sophisticated security threats.

Europe has found a way to make a self-driving car more dangerous: let it drive, but forbid it to drive like a driver.
Brussels is reportedly discussing a rule for authorising Tesla FSD in Europe: the system may never exceed the speed limit by more than 10%. Sounds reasonable, until you remember who’s still in the driver’s seat. Legally that’s you. You’re responsible for every metre the car travels, every lane change, every brake. Yet the system is forbidden to match the flow of traffic, to accelerate out of a dangerous merge, or to get past a truck drifting into your lane. You carry the liability. The committee keeps the steering wheel.
This isn’t about cars. It’s about a mindset.
Adulthood starts with responsibility. You decide, you act, you answer for the result. That’s the deal every functioning society rests on. And it’s precisely the deal the European regulatory machine can’t stand, because an adult who decides for himself doesn’t need a regulator.
First, you take away responsibility, gently and always ‘for your safety’. Then people stop exercising judgment, because judgment is no longer required, or even allowed. People who aren’t allowed to judge become victims: of their car, their employer, their own choices. Victims need protectors. Protectors need more rules. More rules take away more responsibility. The machine feeds itself, and every turn of the wheel proves to the bureaucrat how indispensable he is.
The genius of the nanny state is that its failures always justify more nanny state. If FSD causes an accident, we needed stricter rules. If it doesn’t, the strict rules worked. There is no outcome in which the conclusion is ‘maybe trust people.’
And it’s not limited to the roads. It’s the same reflex that buries a start-up under compliance before it has found its first customer. The same reflex that treats risk as a moral failing rather than the price of progress. It’s why Europe regulates AI it didn’t build, platforms it didn’t create and cars it didn’t design, and then wonders why the builders are all in California, Texas or Shenzhen. A continent that trains its citizens to wait for permission shouldn’t be surprised when nobody takes the initiative.
Meanwhile the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark etc. have let drivers use FSD (Supervised), and the sky hasn’t fallen. In France we are still convening the committee that will schedule the study on whether citizens can be trusted with cruise control. @PhilippeTabarot, take all the time you need. The roads aren’t going anywhere. Neither, apparently, are the 1,450 people who died on them between April and August.
The question was never whether FSD is perfect. Human drivers aren’t either. The question is who decides: the adult who’s legally responsible, or the institution that will never be.
Treat every adult like a child long enough, and you won’t get a safer society. You’ll get a society of children, and a state that’s very proud of babysitting them.

FSD NEWS 🇪🇺 Following talks with German regulators, Tesla has offered to drop the "Full Self-Driving" (FSD) label in Europe and rename the software "Tesla Assisted Driving" (TAD) 🔥
The concession directly tackles a major regulatory sticking point: European officials argue that calling it "FSD" is misleading.
Because the system functions strictly as a driver-assist tool rather than a fully autonomous platform, the driver remains 100% legally responsible behind the wheel and must stay alert at all times.
German Transport Minister Steffen Bilger confirmed that Berlin and Tesla reached common ground back in September after hashing out key technical and liability details. Bilger announced he will now actively champion swift, EU-wide approval so drivers across the continent can finally get access.
The negotiations also yielded an interesting compromise: the German Ministry and Tesla agreed that the system can slightly exceed posted speed limits, by up to 10%, to keep traffic flowing naturally.
Ditching the controversial "FSD" name in favor of "Tesla Assisted Driving" shows Tesla is ready to play ball with European regulators to finally secure a green light.
