Today @ITUC and @ituc_africa filed a landmark complaint against Saudi Arabia at the ILO, alleging widespread violations of migrant workers’ rights in the country that’s set to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup. Trade unions demand international action to urgently address forced labour, wage theft, physical and sexual abuse, and systemic racism.
Global trade unions have filed a complaint against #SaudiArabia at the UN's International Labour Organization #ILC2025, citing severe abuses of migrant workers—including wage theft, passport confiscation, and debt bondage.
🇸🇦 According to the #RightsIndex25, Saudi Arabia is rated 5 - “no guarantee of rights”, the worst rating possible for workers’ rights.
With Saudi Arabia poised to host the 2034 #FIFAWorldCup, the complaint raises urgent questions about human rights and labour protections in the kingdom.
📢 @FIFAcom, the world is watching. Will you uphold your human rights commitments? @Sport_Rights

Lord Hendy on his ERB amendment calling for tougher remedies where employers act unlawfully in collective redundancies. Giving unions the ability to seek injunctions from the High Court—like in the P&O scandal—would offer real protection for workers. youtu.be/On-i4FM-7ow?si=5_BW…
