I am begging the GOP to adopt the following platform: Abortion - 16 weeks with exceptions, adoption reform & expanded child tax credit Healthcare - transition to a Singapore or Swiss style system Social security - raise the income cap to 1m and index it to inflation
Republicans really do need to get their platform together. Are they protectionist or for free trade? Are they for total abortion bans or for 15 weeks Are they isolationist? Interventionist? Coalitionist? Non interventionists? What’s the environmental policy?

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon says America holds the stronger hand against China, but warns that only American leadership can keep the world free and safe: “We have the better hand. The question is whether we play it right.” 🇺🇸🇨🇳 “We have all the food, water, and energy we need. We have peace in North America and South America. We’ve got the Atlantic and Pacific. China imports 10 million barrels of oil a day. They’ve got terrible demographics, and their neighborhood is a very complicated area. They’re surrounded by countries that have been enemies in the past. We have the better hand. But only American leadership can keep the world free and safe for democracy. Only American leadership. We’ve got to keep together our military and economic alliances because the economic battlefield is directly related to national security. Where do we get our penicillin? Where do we get our graphite? Where do we get our rare earths? My view is: Build America. Start with our own civics. Teach why our country, freedom, and democracy are so important. Build our economy, because economic power is what allows us to do all those other things. And then we need a sophisticated strategy to maintain American leadership.”

Awww did someone allocate resources to underachieving companies because their bureaucracy can’t match the knowledge of the market?
JUST IN: 🇨🇳 China's tech stock index "STAR 50" has now crashed 40% since June as bear market continues. Trillions of dollars have been wiped from China's stock markets in recent months. Yesterday, Reuters reported that China's AI bubble has "burst." Morgan Stanley also warned that Chinese stocks are set for further losses before they bottom.

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon warns that America is weakening itself and its allies by putting idealistic policies ahead of national security: “We do the dumbest things in the name of good.” 🇺🇸🇨🇳 “We need to be more realpolitik. We go around the world constantly lecturing people about their labor laws, their climate policies, and human rights. I’m not against human rights, but it needs to be coordinated with our national security interests. There’s a great quote from Stalin. When FDR said the Pope wouldn’t agree with something, Stalin leaned forward and asked, ‘How many divisions does the Pope have?’ That’s the game we’re in. We do the dumbest things in the name of good that actually make us weaker and make our allies weaker. We have to be very thoughtful about this. And a little bit of mea culpa: We all made a mistake. All of us should have been a little more thoughtful about China going back about 10 years.”

I vacillate between the idea that Trump could be more popular if he just stopped with the random obnoxious stuff like this and actually this garbage is necessary to keep his base engaged. I don’t know which is true or if they both are
The Cheesecake Factory is a great American institution. Tune in at 12:30 PM EST for a surprise. 🎶

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon warns that America’s greatest threat isn’t economic or military, but losing the values that made the country great: “I think we’ve gotten a little bit soft.” 🇺🇸 “America has no divine right to success. We have the Constitution, which is extraordinary. It’s the embodiment of our values: enterprise, liberty, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and equal opportunity. Those values are what make America strong, including God, family, country, and work ethic. I think we’ve gotten a little bit soft. I think we made a huge mistake by not teaching this much more in schools. The real risk is our heart, our soul, our grit, our courage. That is the actual risk. America’s military strength is predicated on America’s economic strength, and our economic strength depends on keeping this wonderful system going. There’s too much today that’s just tearing it down. It bothers me that we don’t celebrate these values, particularly on our 250th anniversary.“ Jamie is absolutely correct here. The greatest threats facing America is its internal battles, not the external ones. We as a country have lost our way and what it means to be American and being proud to be American.

Agree w/you 💯. As Mayor, I'll make it a key mission to actively partner w/the business community to grow our city & serve as the city's biggest marketer/recruiter. Instead of NY & others looking to poach our businesses, I'll be recruiting theirs. Bet on Chicago. I'm ALL IN.
Back at CoreNet & this year it's in Chicago. CoreNet brings out Corporate Real Estate leaders from across the U.S. and the World. However, Chicago leaders need to show up as we're missing an opportunity here. I met someone last night that worked with NYEDC (New York Economic Development Council) and when I asked what drew him to the conference, he said "to attract business leaders to doing more business in New York City." So NYC shows up but we don't have anyone from @WorldBizChicago or @P33Chicago or anyone from the Mayor's office here to attract business in our own backyard? We NEED to be doing more & not squandering these great opportunities to court businesses, especially in the host city. CC: @CrainsChicago @JennyGooz @landon20s @susanamendoza10

There’s no reason not to do this if you’re Republican. Its basically no different than what Pritzker did in Illinois to make Bailey the nominee a few cycles back
🇺🇸🇮🇳⚡️- Ramaswamy campaign is now sending out fliers targeted at Democrat and Independent voters saying that Acton is "too conservative" for Ohio.

Super stoked to pay more taxes for an aging elementary school while my lovely retiree neighbors enjoy a senior exemption regardless of income, asset value, home equity! Oh, & while my NIMBY peers protest new homes! 🤪 evanstonroundtable.com/2026/…

🧵This poll in my option is off in methodology. They don’t use 2022 numbers for Hispanics and rely on 2020 and 2024 numbers They’re balancing Hispanic support for Rs down which they should but it’s too extreme. R support imo should be appropriated at 45-47% rather than ~43%
New - Senate poll - Texas 🔵 James Talarico 50% 🔴 Ken Paxton 45% Last poll - Talarico +2 YouGov (B) - RV - 10/21

Also stop with the “this is a Hispanic oversample” you’re not reading the polling. They polled 1000 Texans which was representative and then they polled another 660 Hispanics so they could get a more accurate read on Hispanic voters in Texas

What do you mean the Russians lost the invasion of Poland? Like half your land is still in Belarus and Ukraine today because you lost…
🇵🇱 “The myth that Russia always wins has been successfully planted in the West. But history tells a very different story,” — Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski The minister pointed out that Russia has not always emerged victorious from its wars: “They lost the Crimean War. They lost the war against Japan. They emerged from World War I with their tails between their legs. They lost their invasion of Poland. They lost in Afghanistan. And they lost the Cold War.” “So things can turn out very differently,” Sikorski emphasized.
