I’ve never seen anyone quote so much scripture that does absolutely nothing to advance their position
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God...

Revelation 5:8 — The 24 elders in heaven possess golden bowls of incense, “which are the prayers of the saints.” QUESTION: How do these heavenly elders possess and present the prayers of the faithful if heavenly creatures cannot participate in their presentation to God? Revelation 8:3–4 — An angel offers the prayers of the saints before God’s throne. QUESTION: How can an angel present the prayers of the saints before God if heavenly creatures cannot be entrusted with earthly prayers? Revelation 5:13 — John hears EVERY CREATURE in heaven, on earth, under the earth, and in the sea praising God. QUESTION: How does a FINITE HUMAN BEING hear the voices of EVERY CREATURE unless God supernaturally enables him to do so? Was John omniscient? Luke 15:7 — Heaven rejoices over one sinner who repents. QUESTION: How can heaven rejoice over repentance on earth if heavenly beings are necessarily ignorant of earthly events? Revelation 6:9–10 — The martyrs in heaven cry out to God concerning injustice on earth. QUESTION: How can departed saints consciously petition God about earthly affairs if death supposedly renders them incapable of concern for the Church on earth? Now answer the central question: Where does Scripture teach that God CANNOT reveal the prayers of the faithful to the saints in heaven?

What do you think he means by God wants us to honor our mother and father but not spiritually?
All Honor belongs to God alone in the spiritual sense.

Happy Reformation Day to most Protestants celebrating Luther while rejecting so much of what he actually taught. Apparently, challenging the Catholic Church is enough to overlook some pretty serious disagreements. Luther supported civil punishment of Anabaptists. He certainly wasn’t defending everyone’s freedom to interpret Scripture and start another church. Here’s a list of what he believed: baptismal regeneration, infant baptism that forgives original sin rather than believers-only baptism, Mary’s perpetual virginity, Mary as the Mother of God, Mary’s assumption into heaven, Christ’s true body and blood present in the Eucharist, Communion conveying forgiveness of sins, private confession and ministerial absolution, making the sign of the cross, retaining religious images in churches, the permissibility of limited prayers for the dead, and the possibility of a genuine believer falling away from salvation. How many of those beliefs would get someone accused of being “too Catholic” in your church today? Oh, but wait. Semper reformanda. Always reforming, I guess?

It really is quite powerful how Calvin’s letter has proven to be absolute tripe. Just wild.
509 years ago today (according to the traditional story), Luther challenged a Pope. The resultant cause and effect didn’t start a new church, it reformed the one true catholic church. As Calvin says in his letter to Cardinal Sadoleto: "[N]ot only that our agreement with antiquity is far closer than yours, but that all we have attempted has been to renew that ancient form of the Church… Indeed, in attacking, breaking down, and destroying your kingdom, we are armed not only with the energy of the Divine Word, but with the aid of the holy Fathers also." Orthodox, but not Eastern, catholic, but not Roman.

What if the best things about being Catholic is that we have feast days… So we ACTUALLY KNOW ABOUT THE EARLY CHURCH… St Tarcisius would like a word… 😂😂😂😂
This kind of "Christianity" would be totally unrecognizable by the Apostles.

Can you imagine being wrong on all 4 things? CrZy
Inculturation brought you: (1) Prayers to saints and Mary; (2) Mary worship; (3) Purgatory; (4) Icon veneration; And finally, a works based gospel.

Another failure of the false sola Scriptura doctrine.
Missing church isn't a sin. Neglecting the gathering of the saints is.

I am officially renouncing Lutheranism. I will carry out my volunteer and musical commitments with my ELCA congregation but I cannot in good conscience receive Holy Communion with them any further. Please pray for my reception into the Roman Catholic Church.

🚨🚨 DHS INVESTIGATION: Migrant children raped 600-700 times. Becerra enabled this. He dismantled checks supposed to make sure the 450,000 migrant kids in his "care" were sent to loving homes. Instead they were sent to child sex and labor traffickers. DISQUALIFYING.

I am speechless. Thomas Aquinas College just dropped a study on the rigor of the new SAT. It compares the 1980/87 test with 2026. The findings should terrify every parent and teacher... Vocabulary has collapsed. Old SAT: 70.6% of questions tested vocab. New SAT: 15%. The old test forced students to know a wide range of words through analogies, antonyms, and sentence completions. The new test abandoned that. Most vocab questions now just ask students to fill in one blank from context. Reading passages also got radically shorter (average ~97 words vs 300–340). The new test uses short expository passages and hands you the necessary background knowledge inside the text. The older tests leaned much more heavily on argumentative and persuasive writing, assumed far more historical, scientific, and cultural knowledge, and penalized students who lacked it. This is a redefinition of what "college readiness" means. If you believe that kids should develop rigorous vocabulary, be capable of sustained reading, and possess background knowledge, I have bad news for you. The SAT no longer measures these. If you want a future where children can actually read difficult texts and construct complex arguments, the SAT must be replaced now. This cannot go on.
We were concerned that the SAT has become a less reliable measure of student preparedness for a rigorous college curriculum. So, we commissioned a study from Johns Hopkins University. What does this study tell us about the state of higher education? The results are shocking. thaq.co/4iLThZ0

Atheists are determined to prove they are deeply unserious…
You describe precisely the very core of where you went straight against what Luke and Matthew claimed. Congratulations. With you in court your opponent won't need a lawyer anymore.

To put an end once and for all to the malicious speculation coming from people seeking to stir up trouble and draw attention to themselves, including Vatican officials, here are the letters exchanged between the organisers of the Summorum Pontificum Pilgrimage and the Secretariat of State in their efforts to organise the 2026 pilgrimage. This was the request made directly to Pope Leo, through a letter written by Father Claude Barte, in December 2025: “For fifteen years, our Pilgrimage has brought to Rome, to the Tomb of the Apostle and to his Successor, pilgrims representing all the priests and faithful throughout the world who are attached to the traditional liturgy. Every year, with the exception of 2023 and 2024, we have been granted the grace of celebrating the traditional Holy Mass in St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. In 2025, with Your Holiness’s permission, we were able to resume this pious custom. I therefore turn once again to Your Holiness to ask you graciously to renew, with paternal care, the authorisation granted last year and those previously granted by Pope Francis.” With no answer received, after 6 months, the request was renewed on June 12th, to the Secretariat to State. On August 7th, came the Secretariat of State’s reply: From the Vatican, 7 August 2026 No. 55.786 Reverend Father, In your letter of 12 June, you submitted a request to celebrate a Mass in St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, according to the usus antiquior, during the international pilgrimage Ad Petri Sedem. We regret to inform you that, for this year, we cannot grant your request. Please accept, Reverend Father, the assurance of my devoted esteem. Paolo Rudelli Substitute for General Affairs of the Secretariat of State Next came Father Barthe’s request that, despite being unable to celebrate Mass there, the pilgrims might be allowed to enter and pray in St Peter’s Basilica: 8 September 2026 His Most Reverend Excellency Archbishop Paolo Rudelli Substitute for General Affairs of the Secretariat of State Your Most Reverend Excellency, I have received your letter of 7 August informing me that, for this year, our international pilgrimage Ad Petri Sedem had not been granted permission to celebrate a Mass according to the usus antiquior in St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican on 24 October. Might we nevertheless, on that same 24 October, enter the Basilica in procession, pray for the Pope at the Altar of the Confession, and adore the Blessed Sacrament at the Altar of the Chair? The Basilica’s Sacristy informs us that this would be possible at 1:00 p.m., should you grant us permission. I ask Your Most Reverend Excellency to accept this expression of my profound respect. Finally, the Secretariat of State’s refusal of that request: From the Vatican, 30 September 2026 No. 58.510 Reverend Father, In reply to your letter of 8 September concerning the international pilgrimage Ad Petri Sedem, I inform you that it is not possible to grant your request. Please accept, Reverend Father, the expression of my prayerful and devoted sentiments. Paolo Rudelli Substitute for General Affairs of the Secretariat of State This proves that everything the organisers have said all along is the unvarnished truth. It also proves that there was no negligence whatsoever in the organisation of the pilgrimage, but rather care and respect in the way dealings with the Holy See were conducted. The refusal to allow Mass, and also the pilgrim's prayer, in St Peter’s, was solely the responsibility of the Holy See, which gave no explanation for its decisions. Nevertheless, to anyone paying even a little attention, those reasons seem clear.

Mary convinced her son to die, resurrect from the dead, ascend to heaven and for his 12 best friends to die… because she had an indiscretion. GOOD POINT,

OT Jewish traditions and interpretations Jesus affirmed: Moses’ seat (Matt. 23:2–3) Synagogue worship (Luke 4:16) Public Scripture readings (Luke 4:17) Feast of Dedication/Hanukkah (John 10:22–23) Resurrection of the dead (Matt. 22:31–32) Existence of angels (Matt. 22:30) Davidic interpretation of Psalm 110 (Matt. 22:41–46) Elijah preceding the Messiah (Matt. 17:10–13) Temple worship (John 2:16) Priestly examination and offerings (Matt. 8:4) Passover observance (Luke 22:7–20) Greatest-commandment interpretation (Matt. 22:34–40) Jonah as messianic typology (Matt. 12:39–40) Bronze serpent as messianic typology (John 3:14–15) David and the sacred bread as a Sabbath precedent (Matt. 12:3–8) Not all were unwritten traditions; some were biblical commands or interpretations. Jesus condemned traditions that CONTRADICTED God’s Word, not tradition itself. And Paul explicitly commanded Christians to preserve apostolic traditions, whether ORAL or WRITTEN (2 Thess. 2:15). Protestantism replaces the Holy Spirits work in the Church, which Saint Paul says would teach the Angels about God…. with themselves.
Men, councils, and traditions fail- God's Word never does. When tradition contradicts Scripture, God's Word wins every time. Sola Scriptura does not mean "my opinion against yours." It means God’s revealed Word is the final, infallible authority over all human opinion- including church tradition. Christ didn't leave us to lean on evolving traditions. He gave us the inspired Scriptures to equip us for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17). In Mark 7:9, Jesus directly rebuked religious leaders for setting aside God’s command to hold onto their own tradition. The real Church is not a human hierarchy making up rules; it is the body of believers built on the truth of Christ. Even in Acts 17:11, the Bereans were praised because they tested the Apostles' own teaching against Scripture to see if it was true. When human tradition and God's Word clash, Scripture remains the ultimate standard. @JamesDueck

The take is… the Bereans already possessed the good news. Paul’s preaching was superfluous. 😂😂😂😂
The Bereans verified what Paul taught, not by tradition, but by the scriptures alone: “Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.” —Acts 17:11.

Catholic apologists keep refuting "Scripture only." No Reformer taught that. Sola Scriptura: Scripture alone is the final, infallible authority. Creeds, councils, and the Fathers still speak. They just don't get the last word. That's Sola. You're spelling Solo.
