My Dad smoked when he was younger. He had stopped for around 35 years, yet died from lung cancer likely related to smoking.
My son will never legally be able to buy tobacco products.
This should be the start of the end of the tobacco industry.
Having seen all four of my grandparents die from smoking related illnesses I have to say that I am delighted about this. There will always be anomalies (55 year olds asking their 56 year old friends to buy their cigarettes) but it will eliminate smoking over time. theguardian.com/society/2026…

Whilst on holiday last week I managed to find enough time to read a book. I choose the new @RobbieRinder book, #TheProtest.
An excellent read. Very entertaining. 📖

Just when things were going so well for the Church of England…throwing out a choir who’ve booked your church is an interesting move from @bishopoffulham - the church ‘apology’ still seems to blame the choir theguardian.com/uk-news/2025…

Congratulations to the 13 deacons and 12 priests ordained at the Cathedral this weekend! We pray God's leading hand and Guiding spirit is upon them in their new chapter.

A joy to preside over Holy Communion this morning for the first time, following my priesting yesterday.
Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

Any one else find it frustrating?
Popped into this beautiful church in Moreton whilst visiting the area for work. Also the resting place of Lawrence of Arabia. #StNicholasMoreton
