Forgot my Dr appointment today is a stress test... No better way to start the week than having sensors strapped all over you while you're surrounded by a team of medical folks who don't talk... I feel like I'm about to be interrogated for top secret information :/
Cue the montage music.
.@vigilanteinc here's a controller stand I printed last night after we talked about it. There are a ton of great designs to.choose from. Let me know if you want one, I'm more than happy to bang one out for ya.
Model by: Finity Forge
Next random question... Suggestions for electronics cleaner for a large amount of Amiga and Apple 2 motherboards (populated)
And now begins the random question portion of my evening.... I have an Odin 2 Portal. Half my friends tell me to put ES DE on it and the other half say it's not needed. Thoughts and opinions on this?
I've heard rumblings of a possible remaster of this? Not sure how accurate that it's but man.... This game needs to be in everyone's collection.
Was just mentioning this and thought it was really worth repeating.
Finding this going through these boxes makes me happier than finding just about anything else. The people I got me meet at these expos was truly a blessing. So much history and so much love for our hobby.
One of my all time favorites was the LUCKI Expo in 2005. I met some folks that became great friends! I got to meet and listen to Jim Butterfield give a presentation, same with Jeri Ellsworth. Both were incredibly genuine and caring people that loved talking shop and life after.
I cannot stress this enough... If you have a chance to go to an expo and break bread with folks that love things as much as you do you will truly find some amazing friends.
Also... Waffle Steak... IYKYK!
Oh man. Amazing memories playing UO... I've always thought it would be awesome if some of the great lore divers like @TKsMantis , @TheSynonymous or @EpicNate315 would do a series based on Ultima and it's history. It's kind of niche though.
Wow! Found this in a box I was going through before work today. SO many great memories with my little buddy here. Now I want to forget work and find the box with all the 8 track tapes for him!
Here's my off the wall question of the day... Do you think an old Drobo 2 (usb3 4 bay) could be used as part of or as a functional NAS? I love the thing but.... Yes it's old and not as fast as proper network attached etc etc... but it's functionality and ease of use is awesome.
