This year has been a good year for running. I have literally went from struggling to qualify for Comrades to chasing a sub3:40 finish at one of the toughest marathons in Jozi. Yes, I didn't get that sub3:40 finish but to even think I could just shows how far I have come

1st mistake was sacking Amorim, 2nd mistake was hiring Carrick as an interim manager. Everything else are fruits of those 2 mistakes
First mistake was giving carrick a contract, second was letting rashford come back! Third not backing the team! What a recipe for disaster

Except to resign 😂😂😂😂
🚨 Michael Carrick: “It's a tough situation. There's no hiding from it. What it looks like, what's next, I really don't know”. “I'll always do what's best for this football club”.

Knew United players were gonna down tools once Carrick rolled out the red carpet for a player who couldn't be arsed to train properly & who spoke derogatorily about United on loan. You can't ask players to be committed & work hard while gladly welcoming Rashford.Consequences.

I remember Ole. Saw the club decline but didn’t care. Wasn’t ready to change tactics, but somehow expected different results. You’d think a club legend would resign
🚨 Michael Carrick: “It was not a farewell from me. I was really mixed emotions. I'm feeling it for the players”. “But I certainly appreciate the support. But the situation is where we are, and we haven't had results and we haven't had performances that have been good enough”.

He also isn’t responsible for changing the starting lineup? Isn’t responsible for playing Rashford? Lona le ipuela masepa to defend your own 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Michael Carrick will doubtless pay the price with his job for this deserved defeat to an excellent Bournemouth side and another lifeless display by his Manchester United team. Some of his selections and tactics have been questionable, United were again so open in the centre. But Carrick was not responsible for recruiting Youri Tielemans, who lacks physicality and mobility (and Aston Villa haven’t missed him) and Andrey Santos, a Chelsea reserve.  Carrick was not responsible for the board’s damaging failure to strengthen at centre-back and left-back. Carrick was not responsible for his main striker Benjamin Sesko being injured and the board’s failure to provide him with cover. Carrick was not responsible for the club he loves being in the grip of co-owners like the Glazers whose priorities are focused more on business than the sport. The direction from the top has been negligible, arguably negligent. No real leadership. No expertise. Carrick may be out of his depth but many United fans sang his name during the painful demise to Bournemouth because they know he cares and they know the problems lie elsewhere. The Stretford End again sang in protest at the wretched Glazers. Noticeable that there were few songs in support of Bruno Fernandes. He is supposed to be captain, rallying the players, Footballer of the Year, Player of the Year, not arm-waver of the year, underachieving and complaining. Yet Bruno will be at United longer than Carrick.  Carrick was praised for United finishing third last season and getting in the Champions League. But he will doubtless go partly for his own failings and mainly the failings of others. And United will be trapped in this doom loop again. And again until the core problems are addressed in the boardroom - and the Glazers sell up - and flaws in the recruitment department. #MUFC #MUNBOU

English media is something else 😂😂😂
Agreed with the call to drop Fernandes (should've been dropped pre-Como) but Carrick is making a point now in sending on someone who's scored three United goals in 18 months over #mufc's best player the past seven years

Friends of mine ran the Rand Water Vaal River Marathon a few months ago and they complained that the water points were limited and that the running clubs were giving water to their members only.

In 2022 when I ran Comrades I had my family with me. They were in 3 different parts of the route. In between where they were I still got support from random folk who didn’t know me. At the time I was not a member of any club

I disregard a lot of things but I don’t necessarily consider them as BS. What works for me may not work for the next person etc
What's one running "rule" people swear by that you think is complete BS? Shoes, gels, heart-rate zones, whatever.

Thank you so much guys for the kind words. I’m 100% okay with opting out. It was either that or I collapse and leave the race on a stretcher.
First DNF since the start of my running career 😭

That Kaizer Chiefs no longer exists. It’s a corporate marketing agency designed to extract sponsorship monies from other corporates because it has a huge support fanbase.
EThekwini SAFA president Mazwi Mkhize feels Kaizer Chiefs used to be the biggest export of South African football. Attracting big players, who could win anything... Do you agree? Full episode on youtu.be/hwS39kbVbrU?si=K6KE… #AzaniaMotionStudios #TheLegacyExperience #KaizerChiefs
