About a month ago, powmia99 discovered a way to trigger arbitrary code execution fully standalone in Animal Crossing GameCube with nothing but a controller. This was confirmed by Cuyler and I to work on vanilla hardware and we now have a setup that makes it 100% consistent.

I've just uploaded a "Demo Disc" prototype build and electronic press kit for the PS1 game BoomBots, dated from May of 1999, around 6 months before release. archive.org/details/boombots…

The prototype build opens with a pretty unhinged (and loud!) intro animation, missing from final, that shows a ton of early character designs.

Almost all the character designs (as seen in this concept art as well as the prototype intro) changed by the final game. some of the designs are pretty wild!

After a quick scan through, every level I've checked aside from Space Launch appears to be different from final. Here's the Underworld Lava level in the prototype compared to final.

I'm working on recovering assets from a partially-intact June 2008 build of EA & Pandemic's canceled Dark Knight batman video game, codenamed Wildstar. Here's the Alfred VO I could recover. Some lines actually sound to be read by Michael Caine (or a very good sound-alike)!

And here is audio I recovered from what is certainly the boss fight with Firefly which Alfred alluded to earlier. It sounds like he tries to bait you into a fight, only to be undone when the player jumps on his back mid-flight and destroys his jetpack.

Even more recovered Firefly boss fight VO. Visually and tonally, I don't feel this Firefly would've fit with the Nolan films. I wonder if the game would have followed Dark Knight's plot at all? From the files I can see, it seems The Joker is just one of many villains you fight.
