If you want to change children's lives forever - READ TO THEM EVERY DAY! Reading aloud is one of the most powerful things you can do - just 10 minutes a day can make all the difference! #literacy

We loved your visit!
🐻To wrap up our school visits around the county, me and Puds went to @FourfieldsSc in Yaxley where he enjoyed the camping theme the children had put on for @BBCCiN 📻You can hear my package for BBC Radio Cambridgeshire here bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0db0k… at 1 hour 33

I love visiting schools which have special libraries. This double-decker one at @FourfieldsSc is a cracker. Anyone else got an unusual library?

New addition to my maths working wall- factor pair roots and multiple leaves! It really helped to make the difference between factors and multiples clear. Thank you, @MrMJLane ! #edutwitter

Thank you @MissMinoliYear4 for the resources for our reading display that we are using in Year 6. It's been one of the first truly interactive reading displays I've ever managed and the children are really engaging in book talk as a result. 🤗📚💛

Started putting @CassHT reading questions into a book each week once the new one goes up. Such a fab record of all the brilliant answers we’ve had! ✨ (Thank you to the person who started doing this first - please shout me so you have the credit!)

Sometimes simple is the answer. For 2 of my y1 children not grasping the concept of parts/wholes in a bar model, making the whole and then splitting into the first part with their ✏️ really helped. Linked to part-whole model and the penny dropped! @WhiteRoseMaths

Today I’ve completed a 6 week art unit looking at colour, pattern and design with the end outcome of creating a 60s inspired outfit. I’m now busy mocking up some sketchbook pages to help support less confident children to use for in their own work. Relaxing arty afternoon 😊

*Daily Tip* When thinking of key questions to use, try and present them as a fact that children can agree or disagree with. E.g. I think the Romans invading Britain was good thing. Do you agree or disagree?
