Ooh, fancy! I have some Big Trips coming up, the main one being to Oz/NZ via China in the spring. My old cat was more relaxed about my going away very often, poor Milly gets distraught at 4 days. I don't know how she will cope with 3-4 wks, but I need to see my sister.

So much raw musicial talent (and what magazines call "undone glamour") here, it makes my heart ache. Her addiction clearly self-medicating. She felt too much. Dunno what, if anything, could help that. A choice between saving her life and saving her music? Music was her heartbeat.

How does a whingeing mafia, on behalf of a murderous regime, with no authority have a 'divine right' to impose its authority on our government, on our politics and politicians, on our education on our legal system, on our adherence to international law, on our freedom of speech, on our clothing, on our right to keep a job, on our defence policies, our relations with other countries. My friend is of Ukrainian/Jewish parentage. Studied in St P, came to London in the 90s to lecture in art, worked at the BBC, and has lived/worked in France and Italy. His folks are still in Ukraine. So, this is not someone brainwashed by any side.

St P - I have a couple of years to decide whether to go live in that beautiful city. Would probably lose my UK citizenship, but I have Irish. A lot I love about London but being groomed to accept pointless war isn't what I signed up for. There's no future in England's Dreaming.

I first went to Russia in 1987. We broke free of our Intourist guides (minders) and went drinking and sightseeing with Russians. Overwhelmingly, they wanted peace and friendship with the West. They envied our music but were proud of their own culture. (I married one in 1989).
