This is missed opportunity to justify this intervention & create awareness because the general cheetah population worldwide is vulnerable. In Kenya, they're classified as endangered owing to habitat loss, lack of genetic variance, etc. There are <1500 in Kenya.

Imagine going out to catch lunch, only for lunch to fight back! That's exactly what happened to a female cheetah near Aruba in Tsavo East National Park, Kenya, when a hunt took an unexpected turn. Instead of walking away with a full stomach, she ended up with a deep wound on her inner left shoulder, likely caused by the horn of her prey as she tried to bring it down. Luckily, our KWS Tsavo Veterinary Team came to her rescue! They carefully stitched up her shoulder, treated a scrape on her right knee and provided the care she needed to get back on her paws. Her chances of recovery are looking promising! And then came the most important part of recovery: a little room service, wilderness edition! 😁 Every wildlife rescue is another chance to give our wild a fighting chance. I keep complaining about our hyperfocus on JKIA and nothing highlights this better than this story. We have 5 international airports. Of these five, only 2 are 24 hour operations the rest close down by 8:30. Of the 2 that are 24 hour ops, only 1 is fully theeastafrican.co.ke/tea/bus…
