You will note that CENTCOM's map of Iran's borders does not label the countries on those borders.
Iran has about 3,600 miles of land border and 1,500 miles of sea border. 1,100 miles of the sea border is along the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Gulf of Oman. Around 400 is on the Caspian Sea.
Of the 3,600 miles of land border, around 1,000 is shared with Iraq, another 500-600 is shared with Afghanistan, 500-600 is shared with Pakistan, 700 is shared with Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan is notoriously neutral and will certainly not assist the United States. The Taliban runs Afghanistan so good luck with that. The Iraqi government may help us, but the pro-Iranian presence in Iraq will all but guarantee little is done and the Kurds aren't going to be in a hurry to support the US again. Pakistan will not be in a hurry to help us either because whenever the US tires of this conflict, Pakistan has to live next to Iran.
Task Force Iron Gate is worthless. Like everything this administration has done to date, it is intended to sound like something is being accomplished without actually doing anything. It is a waste of time, a waste of resources, and a waste of any good will this nation has built up in the region over the last 25 years (not that much remained to begin with).

Ben Kalu arrived with Tinubu’s empty mandate song in his mouth and left with the taste of dust. Before he could even clear his throat, the people answered him with one name: Obi. He tried to force the band to drown them out with “On Your Mandate We Shall Stand.” The crowd only grew louder, the band itself turned against him, and the song died in his mouth like a lie that no longer has witnesses.
He who brings ant-infested firewood into the people’s compound must not complain when the lizards come. A deputy speaker who cannot command even a festival crowd is no more than a head of household who still wets the mat at night. He walked out with head bowed and tail tucked, the people’s chant still chasing him like a debt he cannot pay.

So here's what happened in today's Stupid Olympics.
There are two people named Dana White.
One is President and CEO of the UFC
The other is Dana W. White, who served as the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs and Chief Pentagon Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Defense under Secretary James Mattis
Their pictures are below. He's the white guy. She's the Black woman. I'll call them UFC Dana and DOD Dana to make it easier for you.
Suzie Wiles, shortly before being replaced by Count Stephen Miller, advised Trump that his new Press Secretary should be Dana White.
And Trump in all his finite wisdom, immediately assumed the UFC Dana, who has never done anything to prepare him for press secretary, and not DOD Dana, whose entire career has been in preparation for that.
Now you might be saying, "Kelly, not everyone knows about DOD Dana. It's an honest mistake."
But he's NOT just "everyone." He's the President of the United States. And this is a man whose administration has been firing Black people, women, trans people, and so on, insisting that none of them got their job based on merit.
And then he's going to name someone completely unqualified to be Press Secretary because the President is a fan of the UFC.
And he didn't even think to ask anyone. It never even occurred to him to ponder whether UFC Dana is the person he should pick as Press Secretary.
Stupid and incurious are a dangerous combination, and this man is both of those things.
And that got me to thinking about the two Dan Sullivan in Alaska. And I get it now. The man who is too stupid to know the difference between two Dana Whites thinks Alaskans are too stupid to know the difference between two Dan Sullivans.

On 2 June 2026, @raufaregbesola, GS of @ADCNig, wrote to John Tsoho, Chief Judge of @federalhigh, informing him that reassigning the case from the court of Emeka Nwite, as directed by @SupremeCourtNg, to the court of Peter Lifu violated the letter & spirit of the order of the #SupremeCourt & amounted to "administrative interference" with the proceedings.
The letter added one thing: "Our confidence in the neutrality & impartiality of Hon. Justice Peter Lifu has been fundamentally eroded."

Gadi Eisenkot has just received the mandate to create a new government for Israel.
I have high expectations from such a government in 3 areas: restoring democracy, curbing settler, police and army violence, and appointing a state inquiry commission on 7 September and the Gaza war.
As you know, I will be very critical if his promises are not fulfilled. But in the meantime I have no patience for faciile claims that Eisenkot is Netanyau in disguise.
