Rest is not giving up.
For changemakers, rest is part of the work. You cannot keep showing up for your community, your cause and the planet while constantly running on empty.
Pause. Breathe. Rest. Then return with renewed strength. 🌱

This morning, our Senior Staff member, Alison Barugahare, visited my office to convey her appreciation as she concludes her service at @OfficialMubs.
Throughout her tenure, she has served with exceptional dedication, integrity, and motherly care, particularly toward the young women at MUBS Berlin and other hostels. Her contribution and impact are deeply valued.
We sincerely thank her for her distinguished service and pray that God’s continued grace and blessings accompany her in the next chapter of her life.

From #EastAfrica, my message to #UNCCDCOP17 delegates is personal: land degradation is not just an environmental issue—it affects food, fuel, livelihoods, dignity & hope.
Don’t just restore land. Restore hope—and people’s power to protect it.

Young changemakers, let’s move beyond awareness. Let’s challenge fossil fuels, protect our communities, and demand a future where those least responsible don’t pay the highest price.
Our voices must become action.

The pursuit of a clean and healthy environment requires more than recognising the right. It requires enforcement.
Uganda’s 2020 Effluent Discharge Regulations set standards for what can be discharged into our water and onto our land.
Are we enforcing them?

As we approach #InternationalYouthDay , let’s engage young people meaningfully: listen to their ideas, involve them in co-designing solutions, include them in decision-making, and create opportunities for them to lead action.

Youth inclusion is more than giving young people a microphone it’s giving their ideas a place in the decision-making room.
Let’s engage young people as partners and changemakers, not just beneficiaries. Co-create with them, and create pathways for their ideas to become action.

Empowering Women. Transforming Agriculture. Protecting Our Future.
Women are the backbone of food production, yet they face some of the greatest challenges caused by climate change.
Through climate-smart farming, we are supporting women farmers with knowledge and sustainable practices that help them adapt, increase productivity, protect natural resources, and build resilient communities.
From sustainable farming methods to protecting soil health and conserving water, women are leading the way toward a greener and more food-secure future.
When women thrive, communities thrive.
Let’s invest in women. Let’s support climate-smart agriculture. Let’s build resilience together.
