Can we all show some appreciation for the brilliant @alisonwaller who has done so so much for @NCRCL over the years. You will be sorely missed, Alison but we wish you only happiness and success in whatever you do next ❤
After 15 years working with the wonderful people of @UR_ECW and @NCRCL, tomorrow I'll be leaving Roehampton. I've been privileged to work with such incredible students and colleagues, and will miss this special community so much. But I'm looking forward to new adventures.

That Monday morning feeling... 🛌
English artist and book illustrator Walter Crane, born #OTD in 1845, illustrated Household Stories, from the collection of the Brothers Grimm.

ALT Illustrated frontispiece of Household Stories, from the collection of the Brothers Grimm. A woman lies asleep on a bed, surrounded by a sleeping dog and a musical instrument while a man in a hat watches over her. The caption reads: The Sleeping Beauty - at last he came to the tower & opened the door of the little room where Rosamond lay.
So sad to learn of the death of Raymond Briggs, an amazing author and illustrator.
