If the GOP wants any chance in the future, it will have to kick Donald Trump out of the party.
He has absolutely destroyed it and the current state of the GOP is warmongering, corrupt, corporate focused, entity that does not at all reflect the conservative values of its voters. It’s s lie.
But I highly doubt they will do it. Many elected Republicans only won because of his endorsement.
And those in his administration are going to defend him and stay loyal in hopes for pardons.
They will probably blame everyone and everything else and continue to worship Trump.
And if that remains their course, the Republican party won’t be able to win nationally for decades.

Turns out that selecting candidates in primaries on the sole criteria of Trump’s endorsement, doesn’t help you win general elections.

Maybe the GOP should try listening to its young people instead of kicking them out of rallies.

Ron DeSantis is the only Republican who delivered tonight. There was a blue tsunami across the country except for the state he spent 8 years turning ruby red. Objectively the most effective Republican in elected office. Consistent winner for 8 years straight.

With the loss of governors races in Texas, Ohio and Georgia, there will be only one state of the top ten most populous states with a Republican governor:
Florida.

Amendment 1 — a testament to our failed former speaker of the House — is deservedly going down in flames.
Good riddance.

Jacksonville, FL — With the 2026 elections coming to a close today, all 81 filed candidates for local offices in Jacksonville have expressed their excitement to begin immediately harassing the fuck out of voters in Duval County.
"I actually don't plan on winning, I just enjoy sending 12,000 people 15 text messages per week" said a candidate for City Council district 7.
"I think it's important that everyone exercise their right to vote today, and tomorrow I'll exercise my right to have my face in your mailbox, on your phone, TV, and computer screens, and at your doorstep 4 days a week for the next 5 months" said Mayor Donna Deegan.
"I think it's so important that everyone show up today and make their voices heard so that I have the data I need to be a huge pain in your ass for 5 months" said Council President Nick Howland.
"I really enjoy annoying people, that's why I stepped away from my district 7 Council seat and decided to run at-Large, I would much rather spend half a year annoying the entire fucking county then just Ortega, Riverside, and Downtown Jacksonville" Said Councilman Jimmy Peluso.
“I drove around looking at things” is peak empty-suit politician.
Was he door knocking to help fellow republicans? Was he phone banking? Was he reaching out to ask how he can help with GOTV efforts? Did he attend a red tent and speak to voters? Duval is purple and every hand helps propel the ship.
Duval Republicans - let this be the shibboleth you need to see beyond the self-promotional theatrics.

Don’t understand the concept of an “election night watch party” at all. Election night is not for socializing. It’s for looking at your phone and throwing up
