C2i Semiconductors was founded in 2024. Two years on, Infineon, Germany's largest semiconductor company, has agreed to acquire it! @NavamCapital invested in C2i's Series A round alongside Yali Capital, @peakxvpartners and others. thehindubusinessline.com/inf… economictimes.indiatimes.com… C2i founders Ram Anant, Preetam Tadeparthy, Vikram Gakhar and B.S. Dattatreya went after a constraint that the AI build-out has made unavoidable: as accelerators draw more current and switch loads faster, the bottleneck migrates from the processor to the power delivered to it. C2i's solution is a software-defined voltage regulator platform: the Manas controller and the Sarayu smart power stage, architected, taped out and validated in Bengaluru. The received wisdom holds that India carries out only supporting work for the global semiconductor industry: verification, layout and physical design for architectures is done elsewhere. C2i has shown what is possible. The intellectual property was created here, and a global incumbent has acquired the company that developed it. IP-differentiated deep tech, built by top tier talent that chose to build in India, funded by patient risk capital at the point of maximum technical risk. Taking just two years from incorporation to acquisition by one of the world's leading power semiconductor firms is not good fortune - it speaks to the quality of work done by the C2i team! C2i Semiconductors is an early example of what is going to unfold - India will not merely assemble and test what others design. It will design what others buy. Every outcome of this kind grows the pool of founders willing to take a swing, and expands the pool of capital willing to fund them. Congratulations to C2i founders Ram Anant, Preetam Tadeparthy, Vikram Gakhar and B.S. Dattatreya, as well as the entire C2i team!

World's first OptoSAR satellite of @GalaxEye almost made it. And I want to tell that story honestly. Mission Drishti reached orbit and earned accolades that meant the world to us. For a few weeks, we watched something we had built with our own hands come alive above the planet. Then, after those early weeks of operations, Drishti stopped performing the way we had dreamed it would. I won't dress that up. It hurts. But here is the truth we're holding onto: what this mission taught us, we could not have learned any other way. We were bold enough to try. We got achingly close to bringing a breakthrough technology to the world. And the demand and excitement OptoSAR has already stirred only makes us more certain about where this is headed. As I said before, Mission Drishti was never the destination — it was the beginning. We are now on our way to launching the next two satellites, 300 kg class, in the next 20–24 months. To our beloved team, to our families who carried us through the long nights, to IN-SPACe, to the investors, to the government, and to every single person who believed in us: thank you. We could not be more grateful. Building from India, for the world, was never going to be easy. We came so close. And we will make it happen again — sooner than you think!🚀 Read more - galaxeye.space

Mission Drishti was an audacious endeavour. Years of relentless effort culminated in a single satellite carrying not just technology, but the aspirations of countless people. It reached its intended orbit, but unfortunately could not become fully operational. That is the nature of space exploration. It is an unforgiving pursuit where uncertainty is part of the journey. More importantly, every setback is an opportunity to learn, improve, and come back stronger. My compliments to the entire team @GalaxEye, not only for the extraordinary effort, but also for their transparency and honesty in communicating what went wrong. That openness is what builds trust, accelerates learning, and defines a mature spacefaring culture. Looking forward to the next launch. #space #india #shux #galaxeye #shubhanshushukla
