Its been 32 years since the assasination of my father. Many thoughts come to mind.One thing i can definitely say was he was on of the most dynamic people i have come across.From 1977 3 things come to mind 1.The mahaweli development programme, which gives 20% of our daily electricity generation 2 We became a test cricket nation thanks to him and 3 devolution of power to the provinces through the 13th amendment. Two criticisms are made of him That he was a racist-absolutely not a racist would not stick his political career to give more devolution to the tamil people and that he was corrupt -not a shred of evidence on any deal of improper,unethical or qustionable conduct on any transaction.So may you attain Nirvan appachi and thanks for been a great and inspiring dad.

earlier governments did not disrobe priest because in a majority Buddhist country the sensitivities of the majority has to be taken into account.Govt shld have been more cautious about this issue and told prison authorities to wait before a wider view from sect is taken
