Dannen said he was asking donors to not donate to Nebraska and redirect funds to 1890. Which is crazy if you think about it, but it also shows the ROI they believe NIL brings.
I suspect if Nebraska football starts registering more impactful moments on the field and starts winning more than losing, the marketability of the team will increase, and so will the NIL allotment.

A little Nebraska political history: In 2006, both President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney made campaign stops in Nebraska’s 3rd District - both at different events in Grand Island.
That was also Pete Ricketts’ first run for the U.S. Senate, in fact his first run for any elected office.
Even with presidential help, he got his ass kicked by Ben Nelson, roughly 64% to 36%.
This is territory where Donald Trump won about three-quarters of the vote in three straight elections, and Republicans are still bringing in the president and now VP to campaign for Pete Ricketts.

"Cornhusker Clink" is a cruel joke. Nebraska already has some of the most overcrowded prisons in the U.S. We've historically struggled to hire enough staff at McCook and all our other jails. Now we're displacing inmates who were working to turn their lives around, forcing our already overworked correctional officers to take on more, creating even more problems in our broken system.
