Acknowledging the awesomeness of new domains. Registry launches, registrar promos, domain investors zagging while others zig + businesses choosing different.

Looks like .com was the biggest loser today:
- 124759 (drops)
+ 42928 (old re-regs)
+ 45582 (new regs)
= - 36249 (net loss in .com domainspace)
GD slashing .com prices to $5.17!
What's happening with .com?

Was great to see. Also to see more and more folks adopting new domains. Not simply investing in them but using them for real purposes. I can see why some of the legacy "domainers" are terrified the potential buyers for their domains is becoming a smaller pool willing to pay less.

A registrar that I have been using a lot recently is @ionos_com - service in the past hasn't been the best but I have to say they have been very helpful recently and some TLDs are cheaper than elsewhere.
Browsing Google's site, not search and navigated from their about.google portal to their blog.google pages to their diversity.google section. So much more interesting and semantic without subdirectories, folders, slashes and that ugly .com 🙌
"Access on the web at my.life" - perfect use (phrasing, branding, engaging) #newdomains

In 2004 I got the opportunity to work with Jeff Bezos to develop the original Kindle. It was Amazon’s first foray into hardware and I learned a ton from my interactions with Jeff. Here’s some of the stories and lessons that I took away from that experience:
