Two friends. Two young officers. One battle that would become a legend. Bogdan Jugović Heinz was born in 1882, the son of a Polish military doctor who had found a new home in Serbia. Orphaned at an early age, Bogdan grew up to become an outstanding young officer. Before leaving for the mountains of Ottoman-occupied Old Serbia, he wrote his will, leaving his entire estate to the Serbian Chetnik movement. He was 23 years old. His closest brother in arms was Branivoje Jovanović, known as Vojvoda Brana. Brana had attended the Military Academy in Belgrade alongside Bogdan and Voja Tankosić. He was only 22, but had already distinguished himself in battle . Brave, charismatic, and beloved by the local population, he had earned the title of vojvoda. (guerrilla commander) Then came May 30, 1905. Thirty Serbian fighters had taken shelter in the village. By morning, the village was surrounded. The Ottoman force reportedly included two battalions of infantry, 150 cavalrymen, 50 gendarmes, and three artillery pieces. Brana's men were attacked first. Hearing the gunfire several kilometers away, Bogdan immediately gathered his detachment and rushed to his friend's aid. The two groups joined forces behind stone walls surrounding several village houses. The Jihadists attacked repeatedly. The defenders opened fire, bringing down soldiers and officers. An Ottoman commander leading an assault on horseback was shot dead. Then came the artillery. One shell overshot the defenders and struck Ottoman troops on the opposite side. Another tore through the stone wall. The Serbian fighters retreated into the houses and continued firing. Hours passed. Ammunition ran low. The dead and wounded piled up. Unable to break the defenders' resistance, Ottoman troops began setting fire to the buildings. Bogdan was killed during an attempted withdrawal into another house. Brana continued commanding the surviving fighters. By evening, the battle was nearly over. The roof was burning. Flaming beams were falling around the remaining defenders. An Ottoman officer spotted Brana and shouted for his surrender. “Surrender, officer!” “Here's your surrender!” Brana answered, firing his rifle. The officer fell. With no way out, Brana's final moments became the stuff of legend. He began singing about freedom, then threw himself into the flames rather than surrender. According to one detailed account, the Ottomans suffered two officers and approximately fifty soldiers killed, with more than seventy wounded. Almost the entire Serbian detachment was destroyed. But one fighter, Radivoje Ilić, escaped from a burning house. He fought his way through the cordon before disappearing into the countryside. He survived to tell the story. The remains of Bogdan, Brana, and their comrades were buried near the village church. Their deaths inspired songs, memorials, and eventually an entire theatrical play. Two friends who entered the Military Academy together in 1899. Six years later, both were dead. One was 22. The other was 23. Vojvoda Bogdan and Vojvoda Brana. Remember their names. ☦️🫡
Belgrade, 1903. A doctor, a millionaire, a lawyer, and a general. They weren't planning to open a hospital, start a business, or enter politics. They were organizing a guerrilla movement. The Chetniks were not new. For generations, Serbian hajduks, rebels, and armed bands had fought against Jihadist rule. But times were changing, and so was the way these men fought. In 1903, a new organization began taking shape in Belgrade, bringing together secret committees, wealthy financiers, experienced military officers, and networks of volunteers. Their mission was to send small, carefully selected armed detachments into Ottoman controlled Old Serbia, particularly Kosovo and Macedonia. These weren't ordinary recruits. They were chosen for their courage, discipline, loyalty, and ability to operate in secrecy. They knew they were being sent on missions from which they might never return. And if they were captured, their chances of surviving were slim. Think of them as the Delta Force of their time. Small groups of determined men crossing hostile territory, operating behind enemy lines, often surrounded by enemies but with little hope of rescue. Behind this organization stood Dr. Milorad Gođevac, millionaire Luka Ćelović, lawyer Vasa Jovanović, General Jovan Atanacković, and other organizers. Notice how they didn't sit around waiting for the government to solve their problems? They took matters into their own hands and invested their own money. Luka Ćelović alone contributed a fortune. They didn't wait for 'institutions' to do the work. They barely had any institutions to rely on. In 1904, one of the first detachments crossed the Ottoman border. Not a single man returned alive. And this was only the beginning.

You live in Macedonia but wave the Albanian flag and talk of taking over the land. You should be imprisoned 👇
🇲🇰 Albanian opposition DUI has won the municipality of Brvenica, taking control from the previous ethnic Macedonian mayor from VMRO. DUI leader Ali Ahmeti called the victory historic, saying: "Macedonia does not belong to Hristijan [Mickoski], it belongs to autochthonous Albanians."

‼️ON TODAY'S SHOW‼️ Tusk’s Constitutional Coup, A CIA Field Trip to Warsaw & Europe on Fire | Chay Bowes & Sarah Poland’s constitutional crisis is deepening and the timing is hard to ignore. Donald Tusk’s government is moving against the courts, Sikorski is seeing Russians everywhere, and just weeks before it all kicked off, former CIA officer Elissa Slotkin visited Warsaw to talk about “leaving authoritarianism.” Add to that Tusk’s earlier photo op reading a book by his foreign minister’s wife Anne Applebaum, NED board member and architect of the regime change playbook. Tonight Chay Bowes joins Sarah to break it all down, plus Europe’s protest wave, the Israeli elections and the other Israeli elections (otherwise known as the US midterms). 8PM CET - 10PM MSK - 2PM ET - 11AM PT Watch on: YouTube - X - Rumble - Twitch - Kick (links below)

End of days? 👇
🇵🇱 Extremely urgent: REVOLT WITHIN THE POLISH POLICE. Polish police officers are beginning to defy orders from the Tusk government en masse. There are reports of a revolt and extremely low morale. A police union is accusing the government of using the police for political purposes and is opposing the actions of those in power. Tusk is in serious trouble.
