Grateful to @mideastXmidwest for organizing an excellent roundtable with Akbar at @InGlobalAffairs at @EurasiaGroup in New York City to discuss his new book detailing the Biden admin's Gaza policy and how key officials sidelined internal dissent and expertise to continue to supply arms to Israel in violation of both US and international humanitarian law.

Echoing my colleagues @mattduss and @WajahatAli. I managed and co-authored CAP's Fear, Inc. 2.0 anti-Islamophobia report that served as a follow up to the initial report & examination of the Islamophobia network's efforts to spread misinformation and propaganda about Islam and American Muslims. I was disgusted to see CAP's president actively promoting a notorious Islamophobe and endorsing the "taqiyya" trope. We demand an explanation from CAP @amprog.
CAP, which published the anti Islamophobia report Fear INC, which I co-authored, has its president @neeratanden now actively promoting the biggest proponent of Islamophobia.
The Center urgently needs to clarify whether there has been a change in position and policy.

Marco Rubio declared this woman and her teenage son a “threat to foreign policy” and had them arrested and locked in an ICE prison for months not because of anything THEY did, but because her husband’s mother was a top Iranian official during the 1970s hostage crisis. Seriously.

Utterly disgusted with the Senate that just voted against (47-52) Sens. @timkaine & @RandPaul's bipartisan War Powers Resolution to block further unauthorized U.S. attacks on Iran, and to end the U.S.'s illegal regime change war in Iran.
Make no mistake: The American people DO NOT support this illegal war of choice with Iran even though a number of Republicans tonight who had previously supported war powers measures in the past voted 'No' on the Kaine-Paul WPR for partisan reasons to back Trump's catastrophic and unauthorized war.
That's cowardly and disqualifying.
