“Our Heavenly Father is more liberal in His views, and boundless in His mercies and blessings, than we are ready to believe or receive; and, at the same time, is more terrible to the workers of iniquity, more awful in the executions of His punishments, and more ready to detect every false way, than we are apt to suppose Him to be.”

“Immigrants lost the election for us” is the rightwing “Kamala lost because of racism”
You just prove you’re unfit to govern if your only takeaway from defeat is cope
"We mass imported a population from cultures that are diametrically opposed to the United States."
@JohnDoyle, @NickJFreitas, and @AuronMacintyre break down the impact that demographic changes and immigration have on the outcome of elections:

One of the simplest and most powerful teachings of Jesus Christ is “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9).
I find it noteworthy that Jesus Christ didn’t say blessed are the peace lovers or the peaceful. He talked about being peacemakers—makers of peace.
When we make peace, it is not only conflict resolution in its highest form, but we reflect our divine nature as children of God.

Imagine being a Democrat strategist and not seeing any possible path to success ever again, and then all of a sudden Trump starts telling people to shut up about Epstein and starts a war with Iran.

If you are weary, or distracted, or feel that you have lost your connection to the Saviour, the house of the Lord—a house of peace and joy—is where to go.
Children, feel His peace on temple grounds. Youth, find Him in the baptistery. And to all of us, do whatever you need to do to receive and keep your temple recommend.
The Lord commands and blesses us with temples—including the Wichita Kansas Temple dedicated on Sunday—so that we can be part of His sacred and holy work.
Come serve your ancestors who have heard the gospel and are desirous to continue their eternal journey of faith in Jesus Christ.
Seek Him. Come to His house. He is here, and He has been here the whole time.

I've been saying it for years, this place is a silo, like most text-based social platforms. there is no "repeal the 19th" cohort. there is no "100 million deportations" cohort. there is no "everyone hates Indian Americans" cohort. people on this website have been "yes and"ing themselves into fake golden ages and meme wars and none of it is real. None of it.

I would actually argue the modern person has probably evaluated FEWER relationship candidates than their grandparents did!

Realizing that there is a dad version of “I resent my dumb husband TikTok” which is, of course, just as annoying.

You know, the world really isn’t as bad as you want it to be. Joy is everywhere. Beauty is everywhere. People are mostly pretty good. You don’t have to cling desperately to your own misery.
