In times of the Roman Empire Caesar, Pompey & Crassus formed the "first triumvirate" controlling the Empire and enhancing their wealth along the way. In 21st Century have they been replaced by a new "triumvirate" of Trump, Putin & Xi Jinping deciding the World Order? @atrupar

At #PMQs our PM was relentless in criticising Badenoch's judgement - support Trump in Iran War. Major point in Mandelson Papers is PM received security warnings from various sources & chose to ignore. No1 role of a PM is protect UK. He didn't demonstrate that. @johnmcdonnellMP

"Why is it always injections first and then masks?" The first one makes lots of money, the second one keeps the fear alive to enhance the need for the first one. Rinse, repeat.

This is nonsense. The standard new state pension will rise by £460 a year but only 27% of pensioners get that. The rest get the old basic state pension which 73% get will rise by £354 a year. It is misleading and plays into the wealthy pensioners trope.

So misleading. The new state pension which barely a quarter of pensioners get will rise by £460 a year from April. But the old, basic state pension which the other 9.3m get will rise by £354 a year.

Yesterday there was a beautiful moment in the House of Commons and Keir Starmer was unable to display any warmth or humility he is classless.

Pensioners lost out significantly 2 years ago when Boris Johnson suspended the #triplelock and the #StatePension increase was cut to 3.1% when earnings were 8.3% and inflation by April 2022 had increased to 9%. This rise in line with wage growth is fair – at London, England

ALL MPs got pay rise, not just Tories. Go on internet, look at expenses Jan 21/22, paid for by all of us, some of whom have to go to Food Banks to survive. Something wrong when MPs, paid basic £84k, claim almost £250k of our money, especially when top 10 are #LabourParty.

Says the #Labour MP in a London Constituency who claimed almost £250k in expenses Jan 21/22 with over £200k for Staff. Mindbogglingly inconsistent values.

Having spoken to our Postie, I do understand (surprised no mention of carrying a GPS tracker!) but whether it's Postmen, or @theRCN or Ambulance Drivers, it's the Customer, not the Employer, who'll suffer and ultimately pay the financial cost, especially in the Public Sector.
Your case better served if rather than pick on Tory MP you stated salary of ANY MP, in any Political Party is £84,144. Interesting to note that in period Jan 21/22 the MPs receiving highest amount of expenses were all #Labour - almost £250k, paid by same Public Servants & all.

I basically want to cry. You can’t imagine what we’re seeing inside hospitals today. The scale of the suffering. The horror of it all. No-one who saw it would EVER dismiss the dying for being too old or too unwell. Never. They’d do everything they could to help. This is so wrong.

80,868 lives. 80868 funerals. It’s an extraordinary number. Yet most of us still don’t know one of them. At what point do enough people die for all of us to feel it? To notice what has actually happened? Disaster is the wrong word. I don’t know what is the right one.

Hi @MattHancock & @NicolaSturgeon We would like to offer our closed @BrewDog venues to help with a quick roll out of the vaccine. For free. We have waiting areas, huge refrigerators, seperate rooms for vaccinatations and an ace team who can help organise. We want to help.

... you are promoting ideological selfishness (aka libertarianism) over society, as if that could POSSIBLY work against a virus... ... and, well, let's talk turkey: you are not just advocating death, but causing it. /END
