Explosive story many years in the making, now out in Vanity Fair by Matthew Cole (who will be on Breaking Points next week, and publishing soon in @DropSiteNews): Saudi Arabia and the UAE set up multi-billion slush funds for Jared Kushner to use. Iran-Contra 2 here (except with Iran-Contra, at least the US got some hostages released. Not clear what we got out of this one.)

This is how the media works. The Hollywood Reporter has been chasing us for comment, so they know exactly what our Ali G campaign is about. Instead of putting that to Sacha Baron Cohen, they handed him a different premise: that calls for cinemas not to screen the film are really about his support for Israel. It’s the same link the Daily Mail and The Telegraph have tried to draw. It wasn’t true there, and it isn’t true now. But it did its job. Cohen never had to answer whether Ali G is racist. He got to talk about Jews being targeted instead. See how they're all working in conjunction? Legacy media sets up the talking point, then hands it over for the subject to run with. So back to the question nobody in this exchange wants to touch. Ali G trades on a caricature of Black British and Jamaican culture. That’s our complaint. It always has been, and thousands of people backed it.

YOU ARE FUCKING HEROS AIPAC TRACKER
"AIPAC announced on Wednesday that, after three cycles of direct political involvement through its political action committee AIPAC PAC, it will no longer issue endorsements or directly earmark contributions to candidates, but said it will remain involved in political organizing and fundraising in other ways, including with its influential super PAC."

The BBC have been “very compliant to Israel, reporting their arguments even where it’s screamingly obvious, even to viewers, that what's happening in Gaza is an international scandal,” a BBC insider has said. [...] The anonymous BBC insider said there’s “still a tendency to refer back to the Hamas attack on the festival as if that was a balancing moment against what has come up subsequently.” The source continued: “There's a tendency for the BBC to hide behind objectivity” instead of doing “the core journalism job of bringing truth to power”. While BBC staff are afraid to speak out “because of the threat of job losses and restructuring. And that there’s a malaise within the organisation where people feel troubled by how things are progressing,” the source said. via @ScotNational archive.ph/uw3ZI

In a new Just Tech article, Mika Noh examines how AI models are trained on cultural production, and argues that a new AI law that now covers artists under employment insurance in South Korea is a model for letting creators decide how their work is used. just-tech.ssrc.org/articles/…

🚨 THIS SHOULD ALARM EVERY PARENT IN ENGLAND. Tomorrow, the Government is expected to receive 27 recommendations on tackling antisemitism in schools and colleges. Among the reported proposals: • Schools to reconsider political symbols, including Palestinian watermelon badges. • New guidance on teaching the Israel–Palestine conflict, emphasising political impartiality. • Greater scrutiny of how teachers discuss geopolitical issues. • Encouraging schools to adopt the IHRA definition of antisemitism, including its controversial examples relating to Israel. Let me be absolutely clear... Antisemitism must be challenged wherever it exists. Jewish children deserve to feel safe in every school. But this is not about antisemitism. IT IS ABOUT BRAINWASHING OUR CHILDREN TO COVER UP OUR GOVERNMENT'S COMPLICITY IN WAR CRIMES. What the hell are we doing when expressing solidarity with Palestinians becomes something schools are encouraged to challenge? When teachers are expected to demonstrate political impartiality, who decides what constitutes impartiality? And since when should the documented genocide and displacement of Palestinians be treated as simply another political opinion? Human rights ARE NOT a partisan position. International law IS NOT a matter of political preference. The slaughtering of civilians IS NOT something we should teach children to be indifferent about. Education is being hijacked for political conditioning rather than encouraging children to think critically. If we reach a point where children are discouraged from showing solidarity with victims of oppression, where teachers fear telling the truth about atrocities, and where political impartiality becomes a euphemism for silence, then we have crossed a truly terrifying, line. Education should teach children to recognise injustice, question authority and stand up for humanity, not to condition them to look the other way when those in power are responsible. And if our Government is more concerned about children wearing Palestinian badges than the suffering those badges represent, then we need to ask ourselves a very serious question: Are we educating the next generation to prevent the atrocities of history from happening again, or teaching them how to accept them when they do? #GazaGenocide @andyburnham @jeremycorbyn @ZackPolanski @KemiBadenoch @owenjonesjourno @Heccles94 @zarahsultana
BREAKING: A landmark government report is set to reveal the vast scale of antisemitism in English schools and colleges, Sky News can exclusively reveal. The report, written by former schools inspector Sir David Bell, will on Wednesday set out 27 recommendations to create change.

Today, Brad Lander, rabbis, and other New Yorkers accompanied Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest. For that, they were detained by the Israeli government.  Harvesting olives is not illegal. The occupation is. I am thankful that Brad has been released. But other New Yorkers remain detained, and they must be released immediately. The same Israeli government detaining them has committed a horrific genocide against Palestinians, killing more than 74,000 people over the last few years alone.  The detention of these New Yorkers must end. The occupation must end. The genocide must end.

TikTok just permanently banned my verified page for my advocacy for people with 3.7M followers. I am blacklisted from using Meta. I am demonetized on YouTube. I lost my college education, career, and now my platforms. Don’t know what to do right now. If you can support my voice/work please get a subscription to my publication yourfavoriteguy.com if we cannot rally enough support I fear I’ll have no choice but to pause my advocacy while I figure out how to get stable again.

This latest article from Thomas Pikkety, the renowned French economist and leading authority on wealth inequality, should be essential reading here in the UK. His argument is simple. France has never been wealthier. Yet education funding per student has fallen by 20% since 2017, public services are struggling, and inequality is deeply embedded in the system. Sound familiar? The problem isn't that our countries have run out of wealth. It's how that wealth is distributed, who controls it, and the political choices made to protect it. For decades, we've been told that austerity, declining public services and falling living standards are unavoidable consequences of economic crises, yet those same decades have seen extraordinary concentrations of private wealth. Socialise the costs. Privatise the gains. This is the reality we all need to wake up to. These aren't inevitable economic outcomes. They're the consequences of political choices, made over time, that have prioritised the accumulation of private wealth over the needs of society. And as public anger grows, we're seeing a deeply concerning response: The rise of the far right, directing that anger towards immigrants, disabled people, those claiming welfare and other vulnerable groups, rather than towards the economic structures responsible for the inequalities people are rightly furious about. As @NaomiAKlein describes fascism, "it's capitalism's most ferocious threat response. A way of directing public anger downwards at the vulnerable, rather than upwards at the system." Fascism doesn't challenge the status quo. It protects it by giving people someone else to blame. The fundamental question isn't whether our societies can afford something better. It's why, when we've never been wealthier, we're repeatedly told we must accept less. We need to fundamentally rethink an economy built around extraction, exploitation and wealth concentration, and start building one that delivers equitable, sustainable prosperity for everyone. And with the UK Budget next week, this should be a serious warning to @UKLabour. If the Budget fails to acknowledge this fundamental reality, and instead offers another round of "difficult decisions" that protect concentrated wealth while asking ordinary people to shoulder the burden, then @andyburnham really hasn't understood what's happening across Europe. What's unfolding in France isn't an isolated protest. It's a warning of what happens when people stop accepting that a society growing ever wealthier somehow can't afford to give them a better life. This isn't something politicians can keep kicking down the road. The warning signs are everywhere. The question now is whether those in power are prepared to confront the causes, or continue defending the very system that's driving the anger. @ZackPolanski @jeremycorbyn @KemiBadenoch @Nigel_Farage

Retweeting so more people find out you absolutely must not do this
OFFICIAL STATEMENT. When I recently posted ‘DO NOT pull apart the upcoming 8-page Reform newspaper going out to 15m homes across the country so it’s in individual sheets, before sending them to Reform’s freepost address one at a time. If enough people do this it would cost them a fortune, which is very bad and unfair,’ I was making a satirical point and was absolutely not endorsing actually doing so, as per this example that has appeared under my post. DO NOT. NOT.

Calling MSM anything other than propaganda is refuted by the data. The UK news media is pure Israeli propaganda.
The past 20 days have marked one of the most monolithic pushes by British media to vilify the Zionism is Racism Green Party motion. Imbalanced coverage would be an understatement. The papers wrote 447 articles on the Greens' Zionism vote. Israel, pro-Israel groups and the Chief Rabbi got 12,133 words. Palestinians got 3,173. Any institution that parades as a "news outlet" can no longer be taken seriously if it covers this motion without also covering the people, Palestinians, who have endured, suffered and been oppressed the most by the ideology in action. What the figures show: • Israel's government alone got 3,904 words. More than every Palestinian put together. • 2,422 of the 3,173 Palestinian words came in stories tying Lubna Speitan, the Palestinian who proposed the motion, to al-Qaeda. • Apart from Lubna, two Palestinians were quoted across 436 articles, for 76 words between them. Nobody in Gaza, the occupied West Bank or Lebanon was quoted at all. • Lubna told the Telegraph that 56 members of her family had been killed in Gaza. One article mentioned it: the Telegraph's own al-Qaeda story, in paragraph 44 of 51. • Lubna has received death and rape threats since the vote. Al Jazeera reported it. None of the 447 British articles did. • 43 articles said, in the paper's own voice, that the motion meant the destruction or abolition of Israel. The motion calls for one state with "equal rights for all". • 36 headlines said antisemitism. Not one of 447 said genocide. • 304 of the 436 articles we read in full never mentioned the genocide at all. • 0 of 89 comment pieces backed the motion. • The Daily Mail ran 38 articles on the motion, and in that time, just 2 on Israel's ongoing attacks across Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon.
