Jesus Christ. The entire Embassy needs to be recalled and punished for this. How can you let your citizens languish in prison and on death row for years without intervening?

Even though we're quickly moving towards a post-literate society, you can tell that books remain sacred objects that carry enormous power and authority in our culture based on how uncomfortable they make people who don't engage with them regularly

Seeing actor Josh Hartnett back on screen made me wonder what he’d been doing all these years. Then I came across his comments about Palestine from 2001 (peak Hartnett era) and was surprised by how outspoken he was. I wonder if he was cancelled.

This summer I wrote a review for Kathryn Fuller-Seeley and Frank Thompson's new book "The First Movie Studio in Texas: Gaston Méliès's Star Film Ranch," a thoroughly engaging read and one I hope inspires new scholarship into early localized filmmaking

The BBC knows exactly what it’s doing here.
It mentions the assaults but leaves out that the victims are migrant women and girls, and that the perpetrators include both Ceuta Spanish locals and migrants. That’s not a small detail.

Blame him all you want & be ungrateful for everything he’s done. Downplay his move to Gala by questioning his ambition.
The truth is, he was deeply attached to Milan and, at his peak, chose loyalty over leaving. He didn’t fail Milan. Milan’s failed projects failed him.
🥹❤️🖤 Rafael Leão gives one last heartfelt message to Milan fans:
“Ciao Rossoneri fans, I made this video to thank everyone. For me it’s been a beautiful seven-year journey, which to me feels like more, because as soon as I arrived I felt at home, and so did my family.
Of course the emotion is always there, but I leave this life at Milan with a smile. With a smile, because I managed to play, to show my best version, with a smile. So thank you, thank you from the heart. Thank you from the heart to everyone.
This isn’t a goodbye, because I’m one of you. I’ll watch Milan wherever I am. Now I’m a fan from the outside, but the best moments will always stay in my heart.
So thank you, truly, to everyone.
Forza Milan, sempre.”
