Great to see @helium and other DePIN projects making this clear: participants are paid for providing real infrastructure services, not for investing. Regulatory rules should reflect that distinction. solana:hntyVP6YFm1Hg25TN9WGLqM12b8TQmcknKrdu1oxWux
Yesterday I filed comments re Regulation Crypto Assets. Short version: @helium and other DePIN participants are paid for service, not investing. The rule needs to say this out loud. Read our comments: sec.gov/comments/S7-2026-27/…
✅Redondo Beach shows it works — existing Wi-Fi + @helium offload covering 2k+ people/day with zero new towers.
📍Boulder’s Quiet Zone makes it harder, but if local Wi-Fi is compliant, the same play could fill the gap.
🎈Deployers get paid in solana:hntyVP6YFm1Hg25TN9WGLqM12b8TQmcknKrdu1oxWux for the data they carry — real utility, not just speculation 🛜📲
Full bars, no service. That’s daily life in parts of Boulder County right now.

Redondo Beach dealt with the same problem on its pier until it turned its existing Wi-Fi into a second layer of coverage, now serving 2,000+ people a day. The infrastructure to fill gaps like this is often already installed.

The first 6G call was made last week, outdoors in a parking lot. That’s where cellular shines, but concrete walls and energy-efficient glass can block 99% or more of the signal before it ever gets inside.
6G handles the outside, Wi-Fi already covers the inside, and Helium offload bridges the two, connecting more than a million people a day.

42 years ago, I started @Dell with $1,000 in my dorm room. Today, I’m deeply honored to receive the National Medal of Technology and Innovation. 🇺🇸
Thank you @POTUS. This honor belongs to the incredible teams, partners and customers who made it possible.
The best is yet to come.
Keep building 🚀

It depends a lot on the vertical. In Helium Plus program we do offer payouts in USDC and USD for our enterprise customers. It removes a barrier of entry in entrenched traditional verticals.

Pretty clear investors aren’t buying the MNOs’ story. Don’t forget, traditional cellular networks account for only 2% of consumer usage cases in the new world of connectivity right ?
@Verizon @ATT @TMobile can’t keep playing defense with the same old tricks why ? @spacex is playing a way better game. It’s time to go on the offense.
And here’s a hint, as I’ve been saying all along it’s going to take MNOs a new brand and a new platform to compete with SpaceX. Legacy brands won’t cut it with consumers in this new world of connectivity. In fact, they could become an anchor that drags them down.
Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile stock just dropped 7% after-hours after @SpaceX announced that it has acquired spectrum licenses, bringing it closer to becoming a full-fledged mobile carrier in the U.S.
Starlink Mobile is about to change the game.
This is a smart use of existing infrastructure. Wakefern’s stores already have Wi-Fi that struggles with cell coverage because of concrete, freezers, and steel racking; instead of a costly DAS, they’re letting shoppers’ phones hop on automatically via Passpoint and earning from the carrier traffic that moves over. First locations are live on the @helium network, with more of the ~365 stores expected to follow📍📍📍📍📍📍Powered by solana:hntyVP6YFm1Hg25TN9WGLqM12b8TQmcknKrdu1oxWux
The largest retailer-owned grocery co-op in the US just turned its store Wi-Fi into a revenue stream.
Wakefern is a $20.7B business with 48 member companies and ~365 supermarkets across nine states. ShopRite, Price Rite, The Fresh Grocer, Fairway Market, Gourmet Garage.
The first stores are now live on the Helium Network, with more to follow.
Supermarkets are brutal for cell signal. Concrete, steel racking, rows of freezers. The traditional fix is a DAS, and the math rarely works for a grocery store.
So Wakefern is using what it already owns. Shoppers’ phones hop onto store Wi-Fi automatically. No app, no sign-in. The stores earn as carrier traffic moves over.

Starlink low-band + Gen2 gives nationwide outdoor/rural direct-to-cell coverage and building penetration. Strongest complement: partner Helium as the dense indoor/urban Wi-Fi offload layer. Starlink Mobile traffic auto-hands off via Passpoint to community hotspots for capacity and seamless indoor service; deployers keep earning HNT. Starlink also supplies backhaul to remote Helium sites, expanding coverage mining without fiber. Hybrid satellite + decentralized Wi-Fi beats either alone.
I like @helium
Starlink Gen2 + low-band spectrum for nationwide outdoor/mobile coverage with wall penetration pairs best with Helium as the dense indoor layer. Helium hotspots handle high-traffic Wi-Fi offload and coverage mining rewards, while Starlink supplies reliable community backhaul for remote nodes. Starlink Mobile can offload to Helium like other carriers, creating mutual capacity gains in a layered network.
AT&T said satellites can’t get through walls. @SpaceX bought the spectrum that does. @helium already has the other half: people running the radios themselves 📡🛜📲
Don’t wait for the tower. Deploy a hotspot. Earn while the big carriers explain why your signal still drops. solana:hntyVP6YFm1Hg25TN9WGLqM12b8TQmcknKrdu1oxWux 🎈

Offload makes sense because most data use is already indoor or venue-specific📍The open question is whether hotspot incentives keep radios online exactly where carriers will actually pay for capacity 🛜📲
solana:hntyVP6YFm1Hg25TN9WGLqM12b8TQmcknKrdu1oxWux 🎈
Carriers don't need more towers everywhere. They need capacity in the specific places people actually use their phones.
That's the problem offload solves, and it's why a community-built network gets more valuable with every hotspot that comes online.
Coverage follows demand, and demand is already here.
